Our volunteers are the heart of our church family!

Sunday we hosted a volunteer appreciation breakfast to say "Thank you!" to our selfless team members. Worship and tech, connections and greeting, children and youth, parking lot and safety, door greeters, prayer partners, and so much more! We are genuinely grateful for everyone who contributes to our campus at Pompano!

"We are either walking towards God or a slow fade away from God." - Pastor Tim Gray

The Story sermon this week addressed the sin and repentance of King David in 2 Samuel.

Pastor Tim Gray showed us in scripture where King David didn't just wake up one day and decide to commit adultery. There were definitely premeditated choices and indications that failure was on its way. It was a slow fade into making a horrible choice.

Maybe that's you. You can see the warning signs. You can tell that something is off and you need to pump the breaks before a major failure absolutely destroys your marriage, family, or career. Or maybe you have already committed sin and now you are trying to restore your marriage and rebuild trust.

Scripture is clear that David was a man after God's heart because he recognized his mistakes, took ownership for them, repented, and asked God to make him new.

Calling all parents..."Move Up Sunday" will be taking place on June 7.

This will coincide with our First Sunday Fellowship event and kick off the summer!
If you have a child entering Kindergarten or 5th grade this fall, they will move into their new classrooms that morning on June 7.

Your soon-to-be kindergartener will now participate in the elementary class, which is located in Room 3/4. For our rising 5th graders, these students will stay with their family for worship and then be dismissed to class after communion. The Community Students classroom is located in Room 1.

This summer, we are firing up the grill for our First Sunday Fellowships at Pompano!

On June 7, we will be feasting on some BBQ! We have the main dish covered, but we will need help with providing the sides. If you are able to bring a potluck picnic side that pairs well with BBQ, that would be super helpful!

Two centuries, five decades, and one community will join together on July 5 to honor the 250th birthday of the United States of America. Our menu will consist of traditional ballpark hot dogs, sodas, chips, and of course... apple pie! Got an apple pie recipe to share? We would be so delighted to enjoy your famous apple pie recipe at this event. We are looking forward to celebrating faith, family, and fellowship together.

Kick back, relax, and join us for the South Florida breeze and some courtyard church fellowship this summer!

54 LIVES CHANGED!! What an unbelievable day at the beach, celebrating these wonderful lives, who all declared their faith! Heaven is absolutely rejoicing!

Pastor Scott walked us through Chapter 10 of The Story where we learned about Samuel and Saul.

Samuel asks us a hard question pertaining to what is more important in life... your sacrifice or your obedience? And he replies that your obedience and submission is what the Lord would want.

Sometimes we struggle with simply obeying God and submitting to Him. We want to do all these things to prove we love Him and that we believe in Him. We make a check list of Christian things to do, but ultimately He just wants us to obey Him and submit ourselves to Him every single day.
