Can I lovingly name why some of us avoid God's presence? Because we already know what He's going to say. ๐Ÿซฃ

It's true, isn't it? Some of us don't want to sit in His presence and gaze upon His beauty because we're afraid He might call us out on some stuff. So we keep our distance โ€” not because we don't believe, but because we do, and we're not ready to hear it. But I'll tell you from experience: it is worth it. Whatever He calls out, He calls out to heal. Avoiding His presence only keeps you stuck. Sitting in it sets you free.

The thing you're avoiding His voice about is the very thing He wants to heal. It's worth it.

๐Ÿ‘‡ Be honest โ€” have you ever avoided God because you knew what He'd say? Comment below, no judgment.

Worship is a protest. It's you standing in the chaos and declaring where the truth actually is. โœŠ

To worship is to protest against the chaos of the world and say, "The truth is found in my Lord Jesus, whom I adore โ€” and in the middle of all this, I'm choosing to do something different." And here's the thing: it always comes at a hard time, so you have to say, "I'm choosing this whether I feel like it or not." Don't feel like it? Get over it โ€” and choose to do spiritual violence against death and darkness by declaring His greatness. And hear this: worship never gets more powerful by adding to it. You can't add anything to Jesus or take anything away. The power was never in the form or the method. It's in the Person.

Worship isn't powerful because of the song. It's powerful because of Who it's aimed at.

๐Ÿ‘‡ When has worship shifted something in you before your circumstances changed? Testify below.

"I don't hear Him. I don't see Him. I don't even think I feel Him." Keep going anyway. ๐ŸŒ…

I know that place. But I promise you this: if you'll do it every single day โ€” if you'll determine in your heart that being with God is the number one thing you're going to do โ€” you will start getting to the place where you hear Him. Where you feel Him. Where you see Him moving and speaking. The silence at the beginning isn't the end of the story. It's the part before the breakthrough. Don't quit in the quiet.

The early silence isn't rejection. Keep pressing in โ€” the hearing and seeing come.

๐Ÿ‘‡ If you're in the "I don't feel anything yet" season, comment "๐ŸŒ… pressing in" โ€” keep going, it's worth it.

Jesus never promised no famines, no wars, no earthquakes. He promised something better. ๐ŸŒ

He was honest with us: in this broken, fallen world there will be rumors of war, famines, earthquakes, difficulties. He didn't sugarcoat it. But then He said, "Take heart โ€” I have overcome the world." So here's the question: do you believe that? Because if you believe He's overcome the world, then joy is available to you even in the middle of everything hard. And that joy is a form of worship โ€” it's worship in which we stand defiant against the brokenness of the world.

Joy in a broken world isn't denial. It's defiance โ€” because the One who overcame it lives in you.

๐Ÿ‘‡ Type "TAKE HEART" and speak it over whatever you're facing right now.

Want to know why the enemy is triumphing over so many of us? ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ

Because we haven't learned to fix our eyes and gaze upon Him. We haven't fixed our hearts to decide โ€” above everything else in life, by far โ€” that He is the priority. And here's the difference that matters: it's not what I say I'm going to do. It's the thing I'm actually, only going to do. Not one goal among many. The number one priority. And I will seek it.

The enemy loses ground the moment your eyes are truly fixed on Him.

๐Ÿ‘‡ Type "I WILL SEEK HIM" as your declaration over this week โ€” and mean it.

Nobody comes to my office to tell me what a wonderful day they're having. ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

They come to tell me he left, she cheated, he lied, the money's gone, the kid's on drugs. We all have things like that. I had a few of those situations myself this week. And in every one of them, we have a choice. We don't deny the problem exists โ€” that's not it. What we do is deny its influence and its power over our life, by putting it under the lordship of Jesus. You say, "Lord, I'm taking this thing I'm wrestling with and placing it at the foot of the cross, because You paid for it. Your hands are bigger than mine. Your heart is more powerful. I want Your mind on this." That is the avenue for joy.

Joy isn't pretending the problem's gone. It's handing the problem to hands bigger than yours.

๐Ÿ‘‡ What are you placing at the foot of the cross today? Name it and let's stand with you.

What's actually stopping you from being with the Lord? Let me tell you what stops me. โ›”

I can tell you honestly: when a pattern of sin is active in my life, I don't wait on the Lord. I don't sit with Him. I stay busy doing other stuff. Distraction, distraction, distraction. It becomes the perfect way to avoid His presence without ever admitting that's what I'm doing. So whatever the distraction is in your life โ€” whatever keeps pulling you away from the secret place โ€” name it, and ask the Lord to help you with it.

The busyness isn't random. Sometimes it's the very thing keeping you out of His presence.

๐Ÿ‘‡ What's your #1 distraction that keeps you from time with God? Call it out in the comments.

If anyone else demanded worship the way God does, we'd call them a narcissist. So why isn't He one? ๐Ÿค”

It's a fair question โ€” people who don't know Jesus ask it all the time: isn't God's demand for worship just cosmic egotism? Here's the turn that dismantles it: God doesn't need your praise. Insecure people need praise. And look at who He actually is โ€” Philippians 2 says Jesus made Himself nothing, took the nature of a servant, humbled Himself, and became obedient to death on a cross. Narcissists don't empty themselves. Narcissists don't lay down their lives for other people. And God is like Jesus all the way to the bottom, all the way through. His love for us has always been soaked in humility.

The God who asks for worship is the same God who washed feet and died for you. That's not ego. That's love.

๐Ÿ‘‡ How would you answer someone who says "God just wants worship because He's full of Himself"? Take a shot in the comments.

When David said "dwell in the house of the Lord," he wasn't talking about a building. ๐Ÿ›๏ธ

The house of the Lord back then was an actual place โ€” the tent of meeting, the Tabernacle. But where's that tabernacle now? Where's the temple? What David was really seeking, above everything else, was the presence of God. That's the whole context: "I seek, more than anything, the presence of God." So does gathering together still matter? Of course โ€” he talks about it. But from a New Testament perspective, the number one heart and desire is this: "One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek โ€” that I may dwell in the house of the Lord."

"Dwelling in His house" was never about a place. It's about living in His presence.
