South Hills Presbyterian Church is the only predominately black church in the San Gabriel Presbytery and under the tutelage of the Rev. Peace took over after his retirement. South Hills was many things to many people. From NAACP meeting to VSB to BAC camp to youth group to youth choir to the session and fifth Friday Potlucks to Coffee Hour South Hills was a pillar of the community.
