Seed of Encouragement

God has great plans for our lives. However, some of the things that we experience don’t always feel good or seem good. But God has a way of taking every wrong choice, every mishap, every setback and maneuvering things in such a way that it ALL works together for our ultimate good! Instead of getting discouraged when we encounter a not so good experience, we must see that experience as a necessary ingredient that God will use to prepare us to fulfill the GREAT plans He has for us.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope”. Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬

Seed of Encouragement

When life throws unexpected curve balls our way and we find ourselves faced with challenge after challenge… situations that are beyond our control. It is in those moments we have to review the evidence. Review the evidence of who God is and ALL He has done… then release every concern to God. We are not designed to carry the weight of the burdens, BUT GOD can handle it and He is in control of it ALL! In the times when we cry out to God for help, He gives us hope, strength and comfort. We may not be able to escape the difficulty of the situation at hand, but God will bless us with an abundance of PEACE right in the midst of it.

The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. Psalm 18:2

Seed of Encouragement

Just as it is in cooking, so it is in life… ALL ingredients are necessary. Things in life won't all be good, but all of them will work together for our good according to God's purpose and His will for our lives. Every experience is needed in order to develop us and to mature us. Trust that if God allows it, He will use it. Don't waste time dwelling on the not so good aspects of a thing... focus on the good and give thanks for what will come as a result of God making it ALL work together.

“We know that God works to help those people who love him. He uses everything that happens to them to bring something good. He does this for those people that he has chosen to serve him.” Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭28‬

Seed of Encouragement

Sometimes we can be so tired... physically, mentally and emotionally... that even though we go to sleep, we are not getting the rest that we need. We wake up feeling drained and exhausted. This is an indication that we carrying burdens and not surrendering them to God. It’s a sign that we are trying to do things on our own, more than we are trusting God to do what He has promised. We have to be intentional and cast all of our cares upon God… not just some of them… ALL of them. When we cast our cares upon Him, we can rest in Him and allow Him to give us the refreshing that we need.

He lets me rest in fields of green grass and leads me to quiet pools of fresh water. He gives me new strength. He guides me in the right paths, as he has promised. Psalm‬ ‭23‬:‭2-3‬

Do not get weary in doing good for in due season you shall reap if you don’t give up. The enemy can’t take our promised blessings, but he will attack us in all sorts of ways to try to get us to give up. See the attack for what it truly is... an indication of doing something good and on the brink of REAPING and RECEIVING our promised blessings. KEEP PRESSING! KEEP PURSUING! DON’T GIVE UP! Due season is on the horizon!!!

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:9
