Cleaning out your closet? Don’t forget the St. Pauly’s textile bin is available 24 hours a day in our parking lot. St. Pauly Textile Inc. collects useable clothing, shoes, sneakers, belts, purses, linens, blankets and drapes and distributes them in the US and all over the world. Money generated from our shed is used to support local organizations that support our community.

This year we will be collecting for 2-4 year old boys. Monthly suggested items are posted online and at church. These items are suggestions, not rules, so if you find something a 2-4 year old boy would love to get in a box please feel free to donate it at any time. September’s collection is school supplies. This can include zipper pencil pouches, pencils, pens (blue, black and red ink), safety scissors, erasers, spiral notebooks, etc. Reminder: no liquids, candy or toothpaste or anything labeled “medicated” or “SPF”, If you would like to contribute items but are not able to shop or would like to help from afar an Amazon wishlist has been created.

Prince of Peace (POP) would love to welcome you into our church family of worship and faith. We follow the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) teachings as we welcome Christ into our lives. The ELCA confesses the Triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, proclaiming Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. POP has been a fixture in the Mahoning Valley since 1959, and we continue to have strong ties with area Lutheran and Ecumenical churches. Our stewardship outreach aids families in Poland, the Mahoning Valley and internationally with our donations and gifts to Camp Frederick, Poland Food Bank, Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley, Lutheran World Relief, Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes (we are a valley drop off site!), St. Pauly Donation Shed, and multiple local charities and non-profits. Please join us for fellowship after service to meet our members.

PRAYER OF THE DAY O God, with all your faithful followers of every age, we praise you, the rock of our life. Be our strong foundation and form us into the body of your Son, that we may gladly minister to all the world, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.

This Sunday is Cereal Sunday!!! Please bring in a box of cereal for the Poland food pantry. The food pantry collects non-perishable food items and distributes them to those in need of help. Please consider the food pantry when you shop. Donations can be made at any time by placing them in the plastic totes under the coat rack in the hallway. Thank you for your support of this important ministry.
