Today, on Good Friday, we reflect on a story of sacrifice, love, and commitment. It reminds us to act with kindness, integrity, and care for others in our daily lives. It is also a time to think about the values that guide us, the choices we make, and the ways we can bring understanding and support to those around us.

As we move through this sacred weekend, we hold onto hope-the kind that calls us to build a more just, inclusive, and loving world for everyone.

All are welcome to join us as we celebrate that hope on Easter Sunday:

A life rooted in faith, guided by God’s word, and centered on love, service, and purpose. Called to live with compassion, humility, and a heart for others, always striving to reflect His light in a world that needs it. Supporting One Great Hour of Sharing, helping rebuild communities after disasters, feed the hungry, empower the oppressed, and restore hope to those facing hardship. A reminder that faith is not only something to believe in, but something to live out through action, kindness, and service every single day.

Join us this evening at 9:00 PM for our Christmas Eve Candlelighting Service, a beloved and sacred tradition of our church as we gather to worship on this holy night. Together, we will celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the Light of the World who comes to dwell among us. Our youth will take part in the service by reading Scripture, sharing the timeless story of Christ’s humble birth and God’s promise fulfilled. These readings will be followed by the singing of cherished Christmas hymns as candlelight gradually fills the sanctuary, symbolizing Christ’s light shining into the darkness, bringing peace, hope, and salvation. We invite you, your family, and friends to come and experience the beauty, reverence, and joy of this meaningful Christmas Eve tradition with us.

We are grateful to share that the Dorothy Day House - Youngstown was deeply appreciative of our recent donation of toilet paper. Their mission is rooted in the Gospel call to hospitality: opening their doors to those who are hungry, struggling, or without a place to turn. Every day, they serve meals, offer showers, provide basic necessities, and create a safe, welcoming space for our neighbors in need. Their work is a living example of Christ’s love in action.

The Dorothy Day House has now shared a new need: dish soap. Something so simple, yet so essential to their daily ministry. From now until the end of December, our church will be collecting dish soap to help support their ongoing work.

As followers of Christ, we are reminded that service is not just an occasional act- it is a way of life. When we give, when we meet someone’s basic needs, when we extend compassion without hesitation, we reflect the heart of God. This collection is one small way we can stand beside those doing the steady, humble work of caring for God’s children.

Thank you to everyone who continues to give, pray, and support this mission. Together, may we keep shining God’s love into places where it is needed most.

Today’s Food Sharing Sunday was a powerful reminder of how God’s love flows when His people come together with open hands and open hearts. Our congregation showed incredible generosity, offering food and support that will soon bless families throughout the South Range School District. Moments like this remind us that giving is more than an act- it’s a reflection of Christ’s love in us. When we share what God has given, we become part of His work, spreading compassion, comfort, and hope to those who need it most. May we continue to follow His call to serve, remembering that every gift, no matter the size, helps shine God’s light into our community. Thank you to everyone who gave, prayed, and poured out God’s love today.
