The man doesn't know that there is a snake underneath.
The woman doesn't know that there is a stone crushing the man.
The woman thinks: “I am going to fall! and I can't climb because the snake is going to bite me! Why can't he use a little more strength and pull me up!"

The man thinks: “I am in so much pain! Yet I'm still pulling you as much as I can! Why don't you try and climb a little harder?!"

Both perspectives are true.
But neither is seeing the others struggle
The lesson is that everyone is struggling with something.

You don't know what struggles people have outside of your field of view.

Some people are just hanging on for better times.
You might be the person keeping them sane.
Listen, appreciate, and be open. Nobody knows how you feel or what struggles you have unless you share.

Open communication, listening, and appreciation will ease so many issues.

That is what community means....

We have lots of neighbors who are waiting for an update on how the community has done. The power flickered a few times, but held!! Lots of tree, plant, and debris but the community is intact. The worse part of the rain was on the north side of Orlando. Lakes are full, but not overflowing. Heading out to check on a few specific houses and people. God has shown us grace and mercy...

Wow.... Talk about a blast from the past... Someone sent me a mashup of a Miami Herald article Dan Le Batard wrote after Hurricane Andrew. I was working with Mark Clayton with the Miami Dolphins after the storm that reminds me a lot about Hurricane Milton!! TIPS GROM A FIFTH GENERATION FLORIDA BOY EHO GREW UP IN BREVARD COUNTY…

Still available at Lowe’s or Home Depot. For those of you who live in Solivita who happened to have a courtyard and/or Casita the drainage from most of the Casita’s goes out three ‘seep’ holes to an outside grass area.

As the rain comes in, it dumps into my courtyard in high enough amounts that the water out of the seep holes can end up backing up and causing the courtyard to flood.

Here is a fairly inexpensive solution that could stop your courtyard from flooding.

This is a very slow moving storm, according to the meteorologist, which means the amount of rain, regardless of which side of the eye of the storm we are on will be significant.
