Pray 1 Thess. 5:17 Pray w/out ceasing. Let us come together call on the name of the lord. For direction, for comfort and peace,.

There were times in my life when I didn’t understand the struggle…

I just wanted it to stop.

Faith doesn’t grow when life is easy.

It grows when you keep going anyway…

When you trust, even when it doesn’t make sense.

I’ve been through seasons that tested me deeply…

but I’m still standing, stronger in my faith than ever before.

If you’re in a hard place right now…
you’re not alone in it.

God hasn’t left you.

He’s strengthening you.

Keep going. 🙏🏼

Today is a remembrance of the sacrifice Jesus chose to make—to show just how deeply He loves you, me, and all who choose to follow Him.

Jesus is not folklore. He is the truth of God.

His existence and what took place are not in question—there is historical documentation beyond Scripture that affirms it.

We are all given a choice: eternal life with God in Heaven, or separation from Him. That choice is ours to make.

Salvation through Jesus Christ is the only way.
One day, we will all stand before God. He calls us to repent, turn from our sins, and come to Him… or hear the words, “Depart from me, for I never knew you.”

Faith isn’t about what we can see… it’s about what we choose to believe.
As I’ve been in James 1:1–12, I keep coming back to this—

we are called to go deeper. Not surface-level belief… but real, rooted faith.
Scripture tells us:
“Now faith is the confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” — Hebrews 11:1

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” — Hebrews 11:6
That’s where it begins.

Not in what we see… but in what we believe.
And yet, so many times we struggle because we want understanding first.

But God says:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6

And in James:
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault… But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt.” — James 1:5–6

We don’t get to stand halfway in.
We don’t get to believe when it’s easy and question when it’s hard.

Real faith is built in the trials.

“In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials… These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith… may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Though you have not seen Him, you love Him… and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy.” — 1 Peter 1:6–9

That’s the kind of faith we are called to.
Even faith the size of a mustard seed… is enough for God to move.

So today, whatever you’re walking through—
don’t lean on what you see.
don’t lean on what you feel.

Lean on Him.
Trust Him.
Seek Him.
Believe in Him fully.

Because He is always working… even when you cannot see it.

Closing one chapter and stepping into a new one is hard for anyone. Letting go of what’s familiar, even when it no longer fits, takes courage. The first step forward is always the hardest, but it’s also where growth and change begin.

On a thru-hike, camp is meant to restore you, not hold you. You stop to refuel, tend to your feet, and learn what worked and what didn’t. But you don’t build a life there. If you stay too long, progress stops.

Life works the same way.

Some seasons are meant for healing, strengthening, and growth. The mountain teaches endurance, patience, and trust. But there comes a moment when God says, you’ve grown here… now it’s time to move.

Breaking camp doesn’t mean the season was wasted. It means it served its purpose. You are stronger, wiser, and more prepared because of it.

If you feel the nudge to advance, honor it. Growth requires movement. Trust the next step, even if you can’t see the full trail yet.

You are ready for the next climb.

As we get older a lot of us think about our legacy of what survives us.

This is often framed in terms of money, inheritance or charitable giving, and there's much to be said for that, but it might be helpful to look at Jesus in his final hours with his disciples and this passage.

In verses 34 and 35 here Jesus mentions the word love 4 times.

Jesus's main point was always love. He is love and he says, as I have loved you, so you must love one another.

Being of service to those that are struggling is showing your heart of Jesus. Giving your time, your friendship, and your caringness to those who need it is our life purpose as we follow Christ.

Maybe that looks like clearing the ice off a walkway of an elderly neighbor, or making a meal for someone, or maybe its just being a good friend and offering love and suoport as they are in a challenging time.

Separate yourself from the wordly culture of corruption and politics and be the light of christ that so many need 🙏🏼.

So what is your legacy?

The most important legacy you can leave behind is your love for Jesus.

When your children and your friends remember you as one who loved Jesus, that is the best gift of all.

It gives new meaning to the big picture of our temporary life here on earth.

So this morning I thank god and I thank him for his love for me and for the gift of jesus in my life but mostly I thank him for the ability to love those that need it most.

Thank you father for allowing me the honor to be a disciple of you🙏🏼

Praise be to God

This actually a bible verse (gen 1:10)

Sometimes its hard to look at ourselves, all the hardships we have endured, and see anything that's good. But this verse here in Genesis gives us God's view of us.

Today, remember that God created you, sees the good despite the wrongs you have done, and He loves the you He created.

Be in joy that His love is devine and unwavering.

You are the God's eye view ✨️

Is this you this morning?

Pushing through, trust me, is one of the hardest thing to do, as many of us know.

Acknowledging pain from circumstances in our life is hard because many ,including myself for many decades, think its a weakness tonbe vulnerable and honest about the pain. But whats really hard is To let go of dwelling there.
It can become a security blanket to keep us away from joy or being loved because we dont think we deserve it.

I know all too well how hard it is to move away from that ideology to push forward.

But, Dont confuse "letting go" with pretending it didnt happen, or that you arent effected. i want to make that clear.

Pretending everything is great when inside you are a hot mess of denial isnt letting go of the pain amd healing to victory. Thats a lie and leads to harboring pain internally and creates a self loathing state and will most definitely derail you to move forward from it.

God says this: 1 Peter 5:10
And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

Life challenges come so we learn to rely on Him, to bring it to Him to help us through.

No human counselor can restore you the way Christ can.

They can give your strategies yes 100%, but until you acknowledge the truth, and put it at the feet of Jesus for him to restore, you will never have freedom from it.

Trust me, I speak from experience.

Until you call on the name of the Lord for his healing power your situation will not change.

You cant use a bandaid to stop the blood from severed artery.

Only He can restore in forgiveness, in love, in joy and in acceptance if the way he made you to be.

Rejoice in the hardship he is allowing it so you can come to Him for restoration.

You can't do it on your own, and humans can not do that for you.

Only Jesus Christ can.

Life is Hard
But
God is good

Keep going 👊🏻

Being delivered from pain by trusting in Jesus Christ is my greatest victory.

Thank you, Jesus, for your grace🙏🏼
