Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.
Corrie Ten Boom

What do you do when you don’t know what to expect? Do you try to force your way through like a bull in a China shop? Do you throw your hands in the air and give up? Do you put faith in a deity or deities? Do you put faith in fate or the universe? How do you handle it?

Putting faith in a god or goddess can comfort one, especially when faced with the unknown. Thinking about the lessons of one’s belief system tends to help make good decisions or lead one in the right direction. Not having that trust can be seriously scary.

Belief is about trusting. Trust yourself. Trust your beliefs. Tomorrow is always unknown and that’s okay. We get through it. How do you cope?

May you find peace & joy in all things. Faith brings peace. Gratitude brings happiness. Combine the two and the world is yours.

Faith and science, I have learned, are two sides of the same coin, separated by an expanse so small, but wide enough that one side can’t see the other. They don’t know they are connected.
Mare E. Pearson

Faith can be science that we just haven’t proven yet. Faith can be a way of explaining how the world works. Many times faith leads us to figure out the next leap of science.

Imagine a scientist who doesn’t really care about what they are doing. One who doesn’t believe in it. Who doesn’t hope for an outcome, one way or another. That scientist wouldn’t be very good at what they are trying to accomplish, would they?

We have to believe in something to take the next step. We have to believe in something to make new discoveries. If you don’t care, you just stay in the same rut, don’t you?

Faith, belief, I think they’re the same thing. Science just explains faith; it doesn’t destroy it.

May you find peace & joy in all things. Faith brings peace. Gratitude brings happiness. Combine the two and the world is yours.

Better than a thousand hollow words, is one word that brings peace.
Buddha

Who wants to be lectured, besides in class or church (sometimes, lol)? No one enjoys being berated or admonished. No one wants empty promises or to be told what to do.

Vows, speeches, and even lectures hit differently when there is real meaning and feeling behind the words. When they’re empty, these same things are just sad and boring.

Would you prefer to hear a sermon from a preacher who doesn’t follow the gospel or one who is obviously in love with it?

Would you want to follow someone who really believes in what they’re saying, or would you prefer a liar?

Always speak from your heart, it doesn’t have to be perfect or flowery. Don’t give advice you aren’t willing to follow or let people know how you learned better. Never expect anyone to listen to you if you don’t live the way you teach.

May you find peace & joy in all things. Faith brings peace. Gratitude brings happiness. Combine the two and the world is yours.

Just because you don’t see something doesn’t mean it isn’t there. Some of the most wonderful things in the world are invisible. Trusting in invisible things makes them more powerful and wonderous.
Kelly Barnhill

Peace. Love. Hope. Respect. Faith. So many fantastic things are unable to be seen. They can only be felt and believed in.

Do you believe in love? Or hope? How about peace or respect? No one is less for believing in these things. In fact, most people agree these things are absolutely true and real.

Is it silly to have faith in something? I don’t think so. Faith can make us better people. It can lead us to treat others fairly and with love.

Nearly all religions believe we should have respect for our fellow humans and usually the earth and life surrounding us. Pagans, wiccans, druids, Christians, Buddhists, and so many more follow along the same lines.

Examples would be the golden rule (do unto others...), the three-fold law (what you put out gets sent back times three), and even karma.

It doesn't matter what you believe in. Just believe in something greater than yourself. It doesn’t have to be a deity. It can just be that we can build a better life or leave the world a better place than we found it.

Just believe.

May you find peace & joy in all things. Faith brings peace. Gratitude brings happiness. Combine the two and the world is yours.

Earth grows,
Fire glows,
Air blows,
Water flows,
A spirit knows.

Used in spirituality, Wiccan, and yoga, this popular mantra is believed to help ground and connect with nature. You can find it on posters, mugs, clothing, etc.

Earth grows
Seeds planted in the earth grow, as do the living things that consume what grows from the earth.

Fire glows
Powerful transformative energy comes from fire; think forging, cooking, etc. Fire is also tied to passion.

Air blows
Wind, storms, weather, all are movement. Air is also tied to intellect.

Water flows
Water represents emotion and change. Water can wear down or break stone or it can help coax life from the soil.

A spirit knows
Both intuition and the inner self understand that we are all connected through nature.

Some use this as a daily affirmation. Others as a grounding exercise.

May you find peace & joy in all things. Faith brings peace. Gratitude brings happiness. Combine the two and the world is yours.

“Faith is realizing that you always get what you need.”
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Often faith does involve the belief that we will always receive what we truly need. Perhaps a lesson in humility or resourcefulness is needed when going without. The situation could be a challenge to find something to be grateful for. Sometimes things are taken from us when we don’t show gratitude for them as well.

When dealing with a challenge, don’t curse your religion/relationship/situation/etc. Look at what is to be done about it.

Is there a workaround? Is there actually more than what was seen at first glance? Does there need to be more effort expended to achieve or maintain what is wanted? Are there skills missing that need to be learned?

We cannot expect the universe to provide everything. Work towards what is wanted and/or needed. Always remember that we cannot throw a tantrum and demand change. When we are knocked down, we must get up, dust ourselves off, and try again.

If we have faith and work towards our goals, beautiful things can happen.

May you find peace & joy in all things. Faith brings peace. Gratitude brings happiness. Combine the two and the world is yours.

“May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it, and may you be filled with the power of love and power that comes from God.”
Ephesians 3:16

First off, I apologize for the typo on the image. It is supposed to be “love” and not “live”. I’m very sorry.

For those who celebrate, happy Easter! Blessed Qingming Festival! I also hope those who celebrated had a wonderful Good Friday and Holy Saturday. Blessed Passover for those still observing.

I always pray that everyone finds all of the love available in the world. The vast quantity of love and kindness available is beyond belief. It is unfathomable and rich and within reach. There is a reason why we call it ‘humanity’. We are each capable of an amazing amount of love and kindness.

If we all blessed each other with compassion the world would be amazing. There would be so much less fear and violence – it wouldn’t disappear, of course, but it would be better.

My wish for you on this day is you receive all the love and support you need. May you have joy and all the rewards you deserve.

May you find peace & joy in all things. Faith brings peace. Gratitude brings happiness. Combine the two and the world is yours.

“Everyone would like to have stronger faith. By themselves, the scriptures may not strengthen your faith, but being faithful to what they teach, does. In other words, faith cannot be separated from faithfulness.”
John Bythway

Faith comes from within, not without. A book, no matter how sacred, will never be able to force belief. It is amazing at supporting faith, but we must find it ourselves.

Most religions have a do or don’t list. There’s usually a reason for this. Communities have to have rules so we can live in peace.

Often the “rules” involve being kind to each other or at least not cruel. We aren’t supposed to steal or hurt each other. We’re supposed to help one another. ‘Do unto others’ and all that.

This kindness, this sense of community, it ties us together. This tends to be at the heart of most religions across the board. This feeling is the basis of faith.

To generate this mood for yourself, if you will, volunteer in your community. Schools, nursing homes, government, food pantries – there are so many options to open your heart and do for your fellow man.

Foster the feeling of goodness, let it tie you to your higher power, this will strengthen your faith and your resolve.

May you find peace & joy in all things. Faith brings peace. Gratitude brings happiness. Combine the two and the world is yours.

“We are saved by faith alone, but the faith that saves is never alone.”
Martin Luther

Faith is always powered by a belief in something – a god or goddess, angels, fairies, even fate. When you truly believe in something you can never truly be alone. You will forever have that conviction by your side.

Nearly all religions have some sort of creed to reinforce communal behavior, i.e. be good to other people and don’t steal, maim, or otherwise hurt them. Some religions have a reward system in place; an example would be heaven.

While I don’t agree that faith can “save” anyone, I do believe that kindness should be an intrinsic part of our everyday lives. We should strive to bring joy where we can.

The world would be a much better place if we just tried to do one nice thing for a stranger a day.

Your belief will keep you warm. It will keep you company. Your belief will always be there as long as you keep that view and live that way.

It’s when you stop believing that you find yourself alone. Faith can change and morph over a lifetime. That’s okay. Just don’t stop believing. Ever.

May you find peace & joy in all things. Faith brings peace. Gratitude brings happiness. Combine the two and the world is yours.

“If you’re serious about sanctification, you can expect to experience heart-wrenching moments that try your faith, your endurance, and your patience.”
Sheri L. Dew

Honestly, I find this to be true about life, so I can only imagine what it would be like for those who wish to live a life of service. We are all tested in some way, our faith tried, our endurance pushed, our patience worn. But the wonders and joys in life are worth every trial.

Remember that as we move through this life, we are constantly growing and learning, compromising and teaching. Our lives are never static, it always changes.

Enjoy every single moment and thing you can. Appreciate them even when they’re not enjoyable. You can never get that moment back so remember, learn, appreciate, and respect it.

May you find peace & joy in all things. Faith brings peace. Gratitude brings happiness. Combine the two and the world is yours.

“Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without.”
Buddha

Even the most unfortunate person can find peace if they look within instead of without.

That statement works in two ways. Looking inside of oneself instead of outside. And looking at what one has instead of what they don’t.

Sometimes life can be incredibly difficult or troubling. We can also control how we view things, which leads to controlling how we feel about things.

I look at the problems in my life and ask if/how they will really affect the next year, 5 years, or 10 years? The answer to that question tells me how much I should allow those issues to affect me.

I also have to ask a second question. Can I do anything about whatever problem it is right now? If so, I do it. Right then. If not, I let it go until I can do something about it.

Letting go of problems, stress, or frustration is also incredibly difficult. It takes practice. Sometimes prayer can help. Having faith that things will turn out as they are supposed to can also help. Talking to friends, family, clergy, or professionals is another avenue.

Regardless, we can only find true peace from within ourselves. Nothing outside of yourself will ever give you real harmony or happiness.

May you find peace & joy in all things. Faith brings peace. Gratitude brings happiness. Combine the two and the world is yours.
