We are excited to share with you that our Ugandan Director, Paul Mwesigwa, will be in Maine this month! While visiting, he will have the opportunity to share updates about the work in Uganda.

Paul will speak at Machias Valley Baptist Church (Sunday May 17th) Emmanuel Bible Baptist Church (Sunday evening, May 17th) and Kennebec Valley Baptist Church (Children's Awana Night, May 20th).

Behind every shoebox is someone who cared enough to pack it. On the other side of the world is a child discovering generosity and kindness for the first time. Packing a shoebox has the opportunity to change a child's life, and possibly eternity. 🎁

Yesterday, Emmanuel Bible Baptist Church held a Celebration of Life for Susan Hoffman.

Sue passed away at the beginning of this month. She was a very important member and supporter of Hope and Mercy Mission. The students at Sunrise were having a small service of their own to remember her.

Sue started a sewing project at Sunrise to teach/make uniforms and dresses for the children. She taught the young ladies how to sew their uniforms in hopes that one day they can get an income with their skills.

Sue played music for the children's ministry and offered medical training when needed.

While we grieve with this loss, we are sure that we will see Sue in Heaven one day!

Faith Bible School graduation is happening now! The graduates presented Pastor Bob with a turkey and bananas!

Half of the team is headed to the airport and will be flying out tonight and will be in the states tomorrow night.

The other half of the team will leave tomorrow night and arrive on Tuesday afternoon. Please pray for the graduation and their journey home. ✈️🇺🇸

Who said interactive murals are only for children 😃 The adults are having too much fun.

These are a fun addition to the real work that has been taking place this week. Tomorrow during the Faith Bible Graduation, we will present the graduates, families and teachers with the ‘special’ mural.

Some of the ladies of Emmanuel Bible Baptist Church (Maine) packed suitcases for the upcoming trip to Uganda!
Medical supplies were a top priority for this trip and we are so blessed to have donations from around the country!

We also had lots of sheets donated to cut up and use for bandages and wound care.

Please pray for our team as they leave on Sunday! We can’t wait to update you during the trip.

As we prepare for our trip to Uganda in March, we are in need of medical supplies:
Gauze pads, medical tape, alcohol wipes, gauze strips, other first aid items. If you would like to send financial support for us to pick up these items, we would be very thankful for that!
