👋🏽 A big hello to our KID Street community! We're excited to see you tomorrow! 🤩

Here's our Sunday lesson preview ➡️ When we say we are sorry, we are asking for forgiveness. In our Bible story tomorrow, Jesus tells his disciples a story about how it's important to forgive. Even though forgiveness can be hard when we are angry or sad or hurt, God wants us to forgive anyway. 🫂

☀️ We hope the last weekend of August has been extra wonderful for you!

We've reset KID Street Headquarters after our fun week of Arts Camp, and we are ready for another great Sunday at Messiah Church! In our Bible story tomorrow, God sends the prophet Zephaniah to remind God's people to sing praise and rejoice, even during a not-so-awesome time.

Our annual Back to School Blessing is happening this Sunday, August 30 at 9:30 AM!

🙏🏽 We will offer a blessing over all students, teachers, and school employees before they head back to school this fall. We have a special gift for each student and adult too, to remind them that Jesus and Messiah Church are with them wherever they go!

🦋 What an amazing week at Arts Camp!

Yesterday we celebrated the final day of Arts Camp with an incredible performance, and the campers shined so bright!

This year’s theme was TRANSFORMATION: Embracing Change. Campers explored stories of transformation through Scripture and experienced transformation themselves through music, drama, visual arts, movement, puppets, handbells, rhythm, improvisation and so much more!

We’re so grateful for the creativity, joy and courage these kids shared with us this week. A huge thank you to Miss Kari, our Director of Children and Family ministry, and everyone who shared their time, talents and hearts to make Arts Camp such a wonderful experience! 💙🦋🎶

☀️ We can't wait for another Sunday together with our KID Street kids!

🏞️ In our Bible story tomorrow, God's people had been forced to live in a faraway place for a long time. They were sad because they missed their home. A prophet named Jeremiah shared a message from God, promising that someday they would return home. Jeremiah's message gave the people comfort.

🌱 💦 Roots help a plant drink water and get nutrients out of the soil so it can grow.

Tomorrow, in KID Street we are going to talk about what the phrase "rooted in God's love" might mean and the prophet Jeremiah, who gave the people a message from God that they should be rooted in love. 💙
