What does it truly mean to serve God?

In 1 Timothy 3, St. Paul points us beyond titles and positions to the life and character of the person who serves. Ephesians reminds us to “submit to one another in the fear of God,” calling us to a faith shaped by humility, love, and service. During St. Mary’s Fast, we look to the Theotokos as an example of that same spirit, a life of humility, obedience, and complete surrender to God.

May this season remind us that greatness in the Kingdom is found not in being above others, but in humbling ourselves before God and one another

Rather than winning arguments, true fathers teach with love. As St. Ambrose reminds us, godly instruction flows from ‘a pure heart, a good conscience, and sincere faith’ (1 Tim. 1:5). Today we give thanks for every father, spiritual father, mentor, and father figure who has walked beside us, encouraged us, prayed for us, and pointed us toward Christ. Above all, we thank God, our Heavenly Father, who lovingly captains our lives and never stops guiding His children. Happy Father’s Day❤️
