We were in Tennessee attending the National Quartet Convention when hurricane Helene hit. Now we are back in Florida with hurricane Milton coming directly at us.

Our primary route home on highway 441 through the Smoky Mountains was closed. Our secondary route from Pigeon Forge through Ashville to Interstate 26 was gone. We had to find a new way home.

When we arrived in Macon, Georgia, all the hotel rooms were taken because of the storm. We saw hundreds of billboards flattened. Millions of trees were broken or uprooted totally. Limited or no electricity in North Florida and South Georgia.

Yet, we had a fantastic 10 days with daughter Andrea and her husband. We saw her show three times. We visited the Comedy Barn and laughed like kids. We saw about 25 dear friends at the National Quartet Convention. Lots of great Gospel music. It was awesome.

Philippians 4:8 (KJV) - "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
