Spiritual growth doesn't happen overnight.

In Galatians 5:22–23, Paul writes: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control; against such things there is no law.”

The fruit of the Spirit is the visible evidence of the Holy Spirit working within a believer’s life. Just as fruit on a tree reveals what kind of tree it is, spiritual fruit reveals spiritual growth. These characteristics are not personality traits that some people naturally have and others don’t. They are qualities produced through abiding in Christ.

Memorial Day honors those who gave their lives for our American freedoms and to protect the oppressed around the world.

As Christians, we have a unique opportunity to reflect the heart of Jesus by honoring those who served, coming alongside those who grieve, and sharing the Gospel in a country made free by their sacrifice.

We're starting Passing the Baton, a brand new series on how we carry the Gospel forward, one generation at a time. Whether you've been walking with Jesus for decades or you're still figuring things out, there's a place for you in this story.

Then that evening, all of Woodside will come together for our Annual Celebration Sunday at the Troy campus; food trucks, inflatables, worship, and our whole church family under one roof!

May 17. Don't miss it.
