“Today you will be with me in paradise”

Can you image the man who was hanging on a cross next to Jesus. He recognized that He was this Savior that everyone had been talking about. Knowing that he was dying and with no chance to escape eminent death, he turned to Jesus in blind faith and asked, ‘Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.’ And Jesus answered him, ‘I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.’ Never were sweeter words spoken to a guilty man on death row. I pray that you too, will seek the truth of the Gospel Message this Easter. It is your only chance to escape the death sentence that awaits us all. The truth really will set you free.

Merry Christmas (Joyeux noël) from EGO. Thank you to everyone who helps pray and sponsor a child. We were able to safely get all the Christmas gifts and food to EGO in time for a joyous celebration yesterday. The boys dorm won the decorating contest. Thank You!!

A huge “Thank You” to CCN for the donation from the bake sale - we raised $1518 for EGO and the children who handmade items this summer. We also had a nice surprise visit from board members Ron and Gwen.

Update today 7/31/25 - we raised funds for 144 pairs of school shoes. What a huge praise! We didn’t quite meet our goal, but if anyone feels led to still send $ we will provide the shoes. Thank you to everyone who participated in our campaign.

Update Christmas in July Shoe Campaign.
We are now at 42 pairs purchased. Only 154 more pairs to go and 7 days. We can do this.

Update 7/16/25: Christmas In July Campaign - shoe drive. The school sent me the sizes and total number of shoes needed is 196. So the new amount still needed is $4,813.
We have 32 pairs of shoes raised so far. Can you help? Visit our web page and pick Christmas in July under the donate tab. Let’s help these families in the community save on school expenses. Also, with so many refugees in town we are looking for school sponsorship for next year.

Happy Sumner Everyone! Our Christmas in July 2025 Campaign has begun. We are raising funds to help approximately 210 community students (who earned an A or B this past year at IMPD) to receive a new pair of school shoes for next year. These shoes are being made in Haiti also helping the workers to earn an income. The cost of the shoes is $29.25 per pair. So we are trying to raise $6,142.50. After our newsletter went out in May we have already received $920 to date toward the shoes. Yeah!!! The price dropped from our newsletter as the company we are ordering frim gave us a discount. I will keep updating our post as the funds come in. Below is a picture of what the shoes look like. The EGO children already are getting a pair from the funds coming in from their sponsors. Just reminiscing this morning of July 4th. Mom Peavey was an inspiration to anyone who ever got to know her. She radiated God's love. Every single person who ever visited the mission, left in awe. Mom would go over to the church and pray for hours. She would sing songs to God and then pray some more. Nothing I could do would ever disappoint her. She always forgave, always! So Mom, I wish you and Dad a Happy Day in Heaven. Miss you and love you both. Steve

Rest in peace sweet princess. Today our beautiful Loudjina went to be with Jesus. She was 14 years old and had the most infectious smile. Her eyes told you everything. Our hearts are broken, but heaven has gained a sweet angel. Until we meet again - your EGO family.
