The Great Exchange - Experiential Weekends Isaiah 61
Experience Transformation!

Unlike a conventional Christian Retreat, these weekends are designed to be a smaller, intimate community to ensure a dynamic experience normally not found at a larger retreat.

TODAY is Giving Tuesday.. whatever is given today will be matched by an anonymous donor.. PLEASE give and share.. God bless you!! Help Us. Help Others!.......for your consideration on Giving Tuesday and year-end giving ... Any amount is helpful and appreciated. Hello from Arukah Ranch! We are reaching out to you with a heartfelt request to support Arukah of LifeCare Christian Center. Arukah is a holistic wellness and recovery ministry in Southwest Florida dedicated to helping individuals heal from trauma, dysfunction, life challenges and addiction through a body, soul (mind & emotions) and spirit approach. The founders, Mike and Lillian Smith, have secured land and begun renovating a barn for animal therapy, organic farming, education and lifestyle coaching. Now, they are in the middle of a building project for the wellness and recovery building where participants can gather to take advantage of the various forms of support and healing modalities to create change. The goal is to raise $100,000 via GoFundMe and Giving Tuesday on Facebook to complete this main building’s construction. Any amount you can give is beneficial to the cause . Can you give $10, 20, 30 to help us meet our goal?) Every contribution is like another “brick” in Arukah Ranch’s sanctuary of healing. Together, we can continue the mission of hope and healing. Every donation goes a long way in supporting our impactful work. We’re a place where you learn how to practice proper self-care — body, soul (mind & emotions), and spirit — with wisdom that lasts a lifetime.
Arukah means to heal, restore, and rebuild — and that’s our mission. We help people unlearn what the world taught them about health and wellness so they can connect with truth, purpose, and possibility. We combine science-backed tools, biblical wisdom, and holistic practices in an environment that’s safe, grounded, and real. Whether you’re here for a workshop, a conference, a class, or a wellness deep-dive, you’ll leave with more than hope — you’ll leave with a plan.
Please consider contributing to this vital cause. Your kindness and generosity will help Arukah of Lifecare Christian Center to continue to transform lives. Thank you for your support! Feel free to give via PayPal on our website instead of here if you prefer.

LifeCare exists to provide opportunities for help, hope, and healing in relationships and individually in body, soul, and spirit. OUR RESOURCES INCLUDE: – counseling – coaching – spiritual direction – transformation groups – classes – seminars – healing weekends – and other professio...

Be a buffalo.

—“Dad… what should I do?”
—“Keep driving.”

A young woman was driving with her father when a powerful storm suddenly hit.
Rain slammed against the windshield, thunder echoed nearby, and visibility was almost zero. She could barely see a few feet ahead of her. Nothing more.

—“Dad, I can’t see well… should I stop?”
—“No. Keep driving.”

On both sides of the road, several cars had already pulled over.
Hazard lights flashing. Waiting for the storm to pass.

—“Dad… everyone else is stopping. What if something happens to me?”
—“Trust me. Just keep driving.”

Her throat tightened. The fear was real.
She drove slowly, gripping the wheel with both hands, unsure of what lay ahead.
But she kept going. Without seeing the destination. Without knowing how much farther she had to go.
Just trusting the next few feet… and the voice sitting beside her.

Minutes later, the storm began to ease.
The rain softened, thunder faded into the distance… and the sun broke through.
The road ahead was clear.

—“Can I stop now?”
—“Yes. But first… look behind you.”

She looked in the rearview mirror and saw all the cars still stuck in the storm.
They were still there.
She wasn’t.

Her father smiled and said:
“See? Sometimes in life you don’t need to see the whole road… you just need the courage to keep moving one more foot forward.”

🌧️ If you’re going through a hard season right now—if there’s fear, doubt, or exhaustion—don’t pull over yet. Don’t give up. Don’t turn off your lights.

Keep driving.
Because even if the road isn’t clear today…
tomorrow, you might already be out of the storm.

And when you look back, you’ll realize—
it wasn’t the storm that defeated you.
It was your decision to keep going that carried you through.

Cheap Grace, Costly Grace

Cheap grace is the preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentance, baptism without church discipline, communion without confession, absolution without personal confession. Cheap grace is without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ, living and incarnate.

Costly grace is the gospel which must be sought again and again, the gift which must be asked for, the door at which a person must knock. Such grace is costly because it calls us to follow, and it is grace because it calls us to follow Jesus Christ. It is costly because it costs us our life, and it is grace because it gives us the only true life. It is costly because it condemns sin, and grace because it justifies the sinner. Above all, it is costly because it costs God the life of God's Son: "you were bought at a price" and what has cost God much cannot be cheap for us. Above all, it is grace because God did not reckon God's Son too dear a price to pay for our life, but delivered him up for us.

Costly grace is the Incarnation of God. Costly grace is the sanctuary of God; it has to be protected from the world, and not thrown to the dogs. It is therefore the living Word, the Word of God, which God speaks as it pleases God. Costly grace confronts us as a gracious call to follow Jesus, it comes as a word of forgiveness to the broken spirit and the contrite heart.

Grace is costly because it compels a person to submit to the yoke of Christ and follow him; it is grace because Jesus says, "My yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
