🧡Wear Orange for National Gun Violence Awareness Day🧡
As people of faith committed to the dignity of every human person and the creation of communities rooted in peace, justice, and compassion, we invite all PHJC Sisters, coworkers, residents, volunteers, and ministry partners to participate in National Gun Violence Awareness Day by joining the movement on Friday, June 5.
Orange honors the lives of those impacted by gun violence and symbolizes a commitment to building safer communities where all people can flourish.
How You Can Participate:
🧡 Wear Orange - Show your support by wearing orange to work, ministry events, meetings, or throughout your day.
📸 Share Your Look - Post a selfie wearing orange and encourage others to participate.
🍊 Spot Orange in the Wild - Take a photo when you see the color orange in your community and share it on social media.
🎥 Create a "Fit Check" Video - Record a short video showing your outfit and explaining why preventing gun violence matters to you.
📷 Take a Group Photo - Gather your coworkers, Sisters, residents, volunteers, ministry team, or community members for a group photo wearing orange. Submit your photos to [email protected] so we can celebrate and share the collective witness of our PHJC community.

Share the Facts - Help raise awareness by sharing facts, stories, prayers, and messages that promote peace, healing, and violence prevention. Use the hashtag to join the national movement and amplify the call for change.
A Faithful Response - As followers of the Gospel and the legacy of Saint Katharina Kasper, we believe every life is sacred. On June 5, let us stand together in prayer and action for a world where children, families, schools, neighborhoods, and communities are free from the fear and reality of gun violence.
Wear Orange. Pray for Peace. Advocate for Life.
