❤️ LOVE OUR CITY WEEK ❤️
July 19-25, we’re taking the love of Jesus outside the church walls and into our community through acts of kindness, encouragement, and service.
There are several ways you can get involved:
👕 Register for an Outreach Project
Sign up at the Love Our City table and let us know which project you’d like to serve at. We also need everyone participating to register so we know how many Love Our City t-shirts to order.
🎁 Donate Gift Cards
We’ll be giving gift cards to bless people in our community. Gift cards to places like Walmart, gas stations, restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores are appreciated.
🏡 Donate Items for the Nursing Home
We’re collecting items to bless residents at Miller’s Merry Manor. (Items can be dropped off at the church by July 19.)
✉️ Give Through Red Envelopes
Beginning this Sunday, red envelopes will be available. Every dollar given will go directly toward Love Our City Week projects and outreach opportunities.
Thank you for helping us show the love of Jesus in practical ways throughout our city. Together, let’s be a light and make a difference!
Here is our Love Our City Schedule:
July 19, Sunday - Bring in Gift Cards to church. Any amount. Gas cards, grocery cards, restuarant cards. These will be prayed over and handed out July 23 for our Random Acts Of Kindness Day
July 20, Monday - Coffee Worker Appreciation
July 20, Monday - Handing out popcicles and iced coffee at the park.
July 21, Tuesday @1:30am - Miller’s Mary Manor - Bingo with the residents and then they can pick a prize from our Golden Store filled with new or like new items like belts, blankets, puzzle books, sweaters, sweatshirts, and some sweet treats.
July 22, Wednesday @5:00pm - Making Smashburgers at The Neighborhood Center
July 22, Wednesday - First Responder Appreciation Dinner
July 23, Thursday - Random Act of Kindness
July 23, Thursday - Popcicles and Iced Coffee at the parks
July 24, Friday - Love Our Seniors Day (yard work, homemade cookies, flowers, encouragement cards)
July 24, Friday - Hamlet Block Party (bounce house, popcorn, cotton candy, sno cones, hotdogs & drinks)
July 24, Friday - River Park Square (hand out glo sticks at tge Mayor’s Concert)
July 25, Saturday @7:30am - Farmers Market - (possible pet kissing booth and pet treats)
July 25, Saturday Food Drive
* If you’d like to participate in one of the outreach projects during the week, sign-up sheets will be available on the sign up table in back of sanctuary.
