Severe flooding has affected communities across Indiana, including areas where several Church of the Brethren congregations and Bethany Theological Seminary are located. Brethren Disaster Ministries is in communication with district disaster coordinators in both South/Central Indiana District and Northern Indiana District and is ready to support both districts and impacted congregations as needs emerge.

Please join us in prayer for those who have been displaced or experienced damage, for first responders and volunteers, and for communities beginning to assess needs and recover.

As Temporary Protected Status (TPS) protections come to an end for many Haitians, we hold in prayer our brothers and sisters from Haiti and all who are living with uncertainty.

As followers of Jesus, we are called to welcome the stranger, love our neighbors, and treat others as we would hope to be treated.

We invite you to pray, reflect, and respond by reading the Church of the Brethren's Annual Conference resolution, “Walking Together: Immigration, Peacemaking, Conscience, and Supporting Our Neighbors.”

Brethren Global Services, the Church of the Brethren mission in South Sudan, which is led by Pastor Athanasus Ungang, welcomed two visiting pastors who will provide leadership and enjoy fellowship and Bible study with South Sudan Church of the Brethren pastors in a gathering in Juba this week. Pictured are Felicien Nkunzimana, a District Executive, and Expert Bukene, founder and president, Church of the Brethren Burundi. Join us in praying for the participants and work of the gathering.
