Our fallen heroes paid the ultimate sacrifice for us just as Jesus paid our sin debt for us.

Eccl. 7:2-14 – On the back side, we can all admit that we learn more from adversity than we do from pleasure. Hard lessons (true wisdom) are not quickly forgotten when we have to figure them out for ourselves. v.10 reminds us to remain focused during trials; v.13 (bent) is a reminder that God is in control of everything, and in v.14, withholds knowledge of the future for our own good.
