The 24-7 Prayer movement is organizing a week of nonstop prayer in every nation around the world…and we are joining them!

SIGN UP TO PRAY (https://signup.24-7prayer.com/signup/3ff365/) for a one-hour time slot (or several during the week), and you can pray wherever you are…at home, in the car, at work or at school during your lunch, go for a walk, etc. Does praying for an hour seem intimidating? We will provide you with a prayer guide, and other resources, which will help equip you for your time in prayer.

While most of the hours of prayer will be on our own throughout the week, here are some times you are invited to join us in person...

Sunday, Sept 6th 7am at Camp Akita. We will kick off the week of prayer together during our sunrise service. **You will need a gate code for access to the camp. Contact Tim Harris 614-374-3863 for that code. Bring a camp chair.
Tuesday, Sept 8th 6-8pm: Prayers around the campfire at Life Church Vineyard (shelter house, bring a camp chair).
Wednesday, Sept 9th 6-8pm: Prayer Walk starting at the Downtown Gazebo on Broad St (Lancaster Bandstand)
Thursday, Sept 10th 6-8pm: Prayer at Rising Park (meet at the pond & bring a camp chair)
Saturday, Sept 12th 11a-1p: Lunch & Campfire Prayers at Life Church Vineyard (shelter house, lunch provided & bring a camp chair)
And...we will close the week of prayer together during our pre-service prayer, 9am Sept 13th, in the Baby Care Room.

Family Sunday is coming up August 30th. On this particular Family Sunday, we will get excited about being together at Labor Day Family Camp the following weekend!
Typically, we have a Family Sunday every month that has 5 Sundays. We encourage our church family, especially parents who have kids & youth in our program, to consider volunteering in one of our classrooms. Email Catherine Burleigh ([email protected]) if you would like to learn more about this opportunity to serve.

The theme for the Global Week of Prayer is At the Name of Jesus, rooted in Philippians 2:9-11. As we pray together, we acknowledge his sovereignty over America and all the earth, and we ask him to move in our communities, our nation and our world.

“Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11 NIV

We will kick off the week of prayer together during our sunrise service, 7am Sept 6th, at Camp Akita, and we will close the week of prayer together during our pre-service prayer, 9am Sept 13th, in the Baby Care Room. All are invited to join us for those in person. All the other hours in between will be filled by you and others when you sign up using the link above.

All middle school and high school youth are welcome to kick off our twice a month meetings we've dubbed 'Rooted Together' on Wednesday, September 16th.

At our first meeting we will be getting to know each other, talking about our expectations for the year, figuring out if there will be a need for both a middle school and high school small group time, and enjoying pizza and games!

A car load of backpacks, school supplies all covered in prayer, went to Pleasantville Elementary this morning. The new Principal, Tricia Haughn and the secretary Mary Peters send their sincere thanks to each of you who donated!
