WOMEN OF FAITH
​We kicked off our first gathering of the year exploring our theme, "She is clothed with strength and dignity" Proverbs 31:25 alongside Fr. Gerald Pedrera!

​Fr. G walked us through the remarkable women in the genealogy of Jesus, highlighting the vital role women play throughout biblical history. He reminded us God uses imperfect yet amazingly brave, faithful and courageous people.

​Thank you Fr. G for such an inspiring evening!

40 DAYS FOR LIFE
The Fall 2026 40 Days for Life Campaign will be taking place from September 23 to October 31. This campaign involves 40 days of visible, public, prayer vigils outside a Planned Parenthood center or other abortion facility in the community. It is a peaceful and educational presence, with no offensive signs. Those who are called to stand witness during this vigil witness to the sanctity of life and send a powerful message to the community about the tragic reality of abortion. With the help of the Holy Spirit we will change hearts and perhaps offer a woman a last chance for help in a crisis pregnancy.

Local Vigil Location: In front of Planned Parenthood, 1357 Oakland Blvd., Walnut Creek, CA

Local Vigil Hours: 7 AM - 7 PM daily except Sunday. (Minimum of 2 people for each one-hour time slot.)

Kick-off event: Tuesday, September 22nd at 7pm at the St Mary Parish Hall in Walnut Creek (1158 Bont Lane) featuring Matt Britton, General Counsel of 40 Days for Life National, who will offer a behind-the-scenes look at some of the prolife accomplishments of 40 Days for Life across the world and will discuss why we must continue on in this important mission for life!

SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION (CONFESSION)

St. Augustine Church

Every Saturday at 3:00 PM, we welcome you to come to Confession at St. Augustine Church. There will be two priests there to hear your confession, one in each confessional on either side of the church.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) is one of the most unique and beautiful aspects of Catholicism. Jesus Christ, in His abundant love and mercy, established the Sacrament of Confession, so that we as sinners can obtain forgiveness for our sins and reconcile with God and the Church. The sacrament “washes us clean,” and renews us in Christ.

Fr. Mark made a video about the Sacrament of Reconciliation. In this video, he discusses the importance and beauty of the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the role the priest plays in Confession and the generosity of God's forgiveness for us.
