My friend asked me about this verse, so I will share with you.

He That Overcometh

"overcometh"
This is the conditional word. To receive the following benefit you must overcome.

So, it's important to know how to overcome.

1 John 5:4-5
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

Who is it that overcomes?

When you believe in Jesus, you are the one who has overcome.

When you believe in Jesus:

You are made clean.
clothed in white rament

Isaiah 1:18
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD:
though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;
though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

2. You are made secure.
I will not blot out your name

John 5:24
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Shall not come into condemnation. Never! Not at any time in the future!
We have been transferred from death to life.

Exodus 14:15
And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:
This is the key to faith.
Romans 10:17
Every time you see "the Lord said", God is giving someone permission to act in faith. In Exodus 14:1-4, He had already told Moses exactly what was going to happen. What has God already told you is going to happen? " Hebrews 10:23 We can hold fast to our confession of faith because the promise is faith-filled. Without the promise, we have nothing to which to attach our profession of faith. Do not speak until you have the faithful promise. Know what the Word says about your situation, then refuse to profess anything else!
Romans 10:16
Isaiah said, "Lord, who has believed OUR report?"
1. Faith is believing the report of the Lord.
2. When you believe it, it becomes your report.
Isaiah called it his and God's.
When you hear the Word with the hearing of faith, Rhema makes it YOUR report, and you can stand on it [Heb. 11:1], and God has already backed it!
God's plan is not complete without your faith in His revealed Word. [Heb. 11:40]
So, how do you get God to reveal His Word to you? (Theologians make this difficult.) Ask. James 1:5. Wisdom is God's revealed Word. "Holy Spirit, teach me the truth about what I'm reading in the Bible." Stay in that Word. -John

The Horse

You have almost gotten over the shock of how you found yourself here.

Still not even sure how you got on this road, here you are walking this gravel farm lane with Him. Its gradual curving slope embraces a hillside decorated with pine trees. At the foot of that hill, to your left, is a calm, glistening, pond. The sparkling water is alive, dancing with light, but not from the sun. There is no sun! All of the light in this place emanates from Him.

A peerless, white swan slowly lifts its head to observe as you pass by; the Son of Man, and the man made in his image. An eagle suspended in the atmosphere above announces your arrival. In the distance, you can make out the whinny of horses. Then, as you round the bend, it appears; a long, majestic, white stable. Its enormous, cross-braced, white door hangs on great black rollers, and as you approach it simply rolls back out of respect.
As you gaze down the unending line of immaculate stables, a thousand heads of the most beautiful white stallions emerge.

“Choose any one you like,” He says.

Knowingly, He looks on in admiration as you pause in front of a particularly beautiful horse. With a distant look in his eye, he thinks back to that day, all those thousands of years ago. It was a day exactly like this when he asked for the first time,

“What will you name him?”

As He opens the stable, from somewhere an angel appears in blue jeans and an old cowboy hat. Without effort, the angel saddles the horse and motions you to mount. As though you have spent your life here, you climb into the saddle and turn your horse to go join the ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands.

Can you even imagine!?

"And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. "
