What a great truth to reflect on as we celebrate Labor Day. Please pray this verse for the ministry of CEF of Iowa as we begin Good News Clubs to reach boys and girls with the Good News of Jesus. We would not be able to reach the boys and girls without your prayers and your willingness to go out into the harvest field.

What did kids learn day 4 and 5 at 5 Day Club?

Memory Verse: but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 ESV

Day 4
This amazing truth was presented to the children. The saved child was encouraged to praise God for His goodness in making a way of salvation. They can praise Him by obeying His commands and by sharing this Good News with others. The unsaved child was encourages to accept Christ's amazing gift by believing on Him for salvation from sin. They were encouraged to be turned around by the Lord Jesus Christ and start living for Him.

Day 5
The truths from Romans 5:8 were reenforced. The unsaved child was reminded how to receive the Savior so they may be turned around! The saved child was reminded of the importance of sharing the Good News with others.

What did kids learn day 3 at 5 Day Club

Memory Verse: For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

Ephesians 2:8 will be reviewed and verse 9 added. Gods saving grace was emphasized and the children where reminded that good works can never earn salvation. They where taught all have sinned and because of that sin all are separated from God until He takes away our sin when we trust Christ as our Savior.

What did kids learn day 2 at 5-Day Club?

Memory Verse: "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God," Ephesians 2:8

The kids learned about God's amazing kindness. It is only by God's grace that anyone can be saved from sin. He offers this grace to all people everywhere. They cannot receive it by working but only through faith in the Lord Jesus, who died on the cross to pay the penalty for sin. What a great privilege to tell children on how to receive this gift.

One last round of what did kids learn yesterday (day 1) at 5 Day Club?

Memory Verse: "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:10

The children learned that Jesus came to Earth to seek and save the lost. What an amazing truth to hear. He not only came to give them the opportunity to be saved- He also seeks them out. He meets them where they are and is willing to draw them out of their sinfulness into His forgiveness.

What did kids learn yesterday(day 5)at 5-Day Club?

They learned they can pray with each other anytime and anywhere. This is one of the best ways God's people can encourage each other. Maybe they have a friend who is having a bad day. They can can stop and pray with them. If they don't already know Jesus at their Savior, hearing them pray make make them want to know Jesus.

Takeaway- Praying with others.

What did kids learn yesterday(day 4)at 5-Day Club?

Jesus taught His disciples to pray to God the Father and tell Him how great He is. This is called praising God. He wants us to to pray in the same way. We can praise God for being loving, good and holy. We can praise Gpd for being the Creator King and the loving Father. We praise God for who He is. Then we can thank Him for what He does.

Takeaway- Praising and thanking God!

What did kids learn yesterday(day 3)at 5-Day Club?

Kids learned that they can use God's Word to pray. Especially the book of Psalms is full of songs and prayers the God's people wrote to talk to him. If they have trusted Jesus as their Savior, the Holy Spirit lives in them to help them listen to and obey His Word. When they read the Bible, they can pray the words they read back to God.

Takeaway- Sometimes you might not know what to say to God but His Word can help you know what to pray.

What did kids learn yesterday(day 2)at 5-Day Club?

The kids learned we all need help with different things. Sometimes we need help doing the right thing or loving other people. They can ask God for help. They were taught that doesn't mean God is going to give them the answers to their homework or do everything one my ask. It means He will help them obey His Word. One could ask God to help them show kindness to others. Once someone has trusted Jesus as their Savior, the Holy Spirit will give them the power to be kind and loving.

Takeaway- You can ask God to help you and He will!
