πΊπΈπLaboring in the Lord β A Labor Day Message from Faithful Band Missionary Baptist Church
As we observe Labor Day, Rev Gregory Evans and the Faithful Band Missionary Baptist Church family pause to give God the glory for the strength to labor and the grace to rest.
Scripture reminds us that work is a divine calling. From the beginning of creation, God instituted work and gave us talents to use for His kingdom. As believers, our daily jobs, our service in the church, and our care for our families are all forms of worship. When we work with integrity and excellence, we reflect the heart of Jesus Christ to the world. βοΈ
This Labor Day weekend, Pastor Evans encourages the Faithful Band family to focus on three biblical truths:
βοΈ Your Labor has Divine Purpose: As Colossians 3 teaches us, we do not just work for an earthly paycheck or boss. We work for the Lord Christ. Every honest task can glorify God.
πYour Labor is Not in Vain: According to 1 Corinthians 15, when we labor out of love for God and our neighbors, our work has eternal value. God sees your hidden sacrifices, your patience, and your dedication.
π
Your Labor Requires Holy Rest: God modeled rest on the seventh day, and Jesus invites us to find ultimate rest for our souls in Him (Matthew 11:28). Use this weekend to replenish your spirit.
π Let us pray for protection over all workers, provision for those seeking employment, and a renewed spirit of unity within our church. May we continue to stand steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.
