While we come from diverse backgrounds, what unifies us is our love for God, and our desire to share his love with everyone he brings our way.

If you're reading this, there's a very good chance you call yourself a follower of Jesus. Well part of what we do here at Family Church is help each other live out the things we say we believe. What does it look like to follow Jesus and live the way he wants us to every day, everywhere? Just as God revealed his path to blessing to the people of Israel through the Ten Commandments, so Jesus and his Apostles gave the church instructions for living a purposeful and fruitful life! Over the next 12 weeks we will look in depth at many of those instructions and if you join us you will have a better understanding of how to walk in the Way of Jesus at home, in the church, at work, and in the community! Too many people spend their lives looking at what their neighbors have and wishing they had the same. Even though they have everything they need, they desire more! This week we will look at the 10th and final commandment, "You shall not covet". This is the first command that deals strictly with the heart. Coveting reveals a spirit of discontent and ingratitude. Join us Sunday as we learn how a spirit of contentment, rather than coveting, strengthens the community. It helps us overcome wrong desires and yields fruits of joy, peace and love! Imagine for a moment that every statement made today was assumed to be false. Contracts would become meaningless. Courtrooms would cease to function. Businesses could not operate. Marriages would crumble. Friendships would disappear. Society itself depends upon truth. Trust is one of the most valuable commodities in human relationships. It takes years to build and only moments to destroy. The Ninth Commandment reminds us that God cares deeply about truth because He Himself is a God of truth. I hope you've been enjoying our summer series studying the 10 Commandments. Dave and I have been amazed at how each basic command has opened up into a complex conversation about respecting God's design for community and relationships. This week we will look at the 8th Command, "Do not steal". While most of us understand that it's wrong to take things that don't belong to us, we may find that there are other ways we violate this command in our hearts. Join us Sunday as we talk about ways people are tempted to steal today and what a responsible view of possessions looks like in God's kingdom. http//SEPFamily.LIVE
