Traditional Latin Mass 12:30 PM / Every Sunday Holy Spirit Parish was formed from two former parishes, St. John, the second oldest parish in the Lincoln Diocese, was established 150 years ago. The first church was consecrated in June 1863. The parish officially commemorated this anniversary of the 150 years of continuous presence of the Catholic faith in the Plattsmouth community on Sunday, May 26, 2013.

📣 An Important Update from Church of the Holy Spirit

Beginning Sunday, October 4, Church of the Holy Spirit will begin a new Sunday Mass schedule:

⛪ 8:00 AM — English
⛪ 10:00 AM — English
⛪ 12:00 PM — Traditional Latin Mass

As we prepare for this change, Father has shared a letter with our parish community explaining the new schedule and looking ahead to how we can continue growing together as one parish family.

We encourage every parishioner to take a few moments to read Father’s letter, mark the new Mass times on your calendar, and help us spread the word.

We are grateful for your continued faithfulness to our parish and look forward to worshiping together under our new schedule beginning October 4.

🚧 Construction Update

As many of you have seen, construction is underway on the street directly in front of our parish and school.

The City has the right-of-way in this area and has created a secondary traffic lane to help ease congestion and maintain access to our campus. The City has also reached out to assure us that efforts are being made to protect our parish monument and sign throughout the construction process.

As you travel through the area, please:

Follow all posted construction signs and traffic directions.
Use extra caution when entering and exiting our campus.
Be mindful of construction crews and changing traffic patterns.
