Traditional Latin Mass 12:30 PM / Every Sunday Holy Spirit Parish was formed from two former parishes, St. John, the second oldest parish in the Lincoln Diocese, was established 150 years ago. The first church was consecrated in June 1863. The parish officially commemorated this anniversary of the 150 years of continuous presence of the Catholic faith in the Plattsmouth community on Sunday, May 26, 2013.

On Sunday, June 7, our parish community gathered in faith and reverence for our Corpus Christi Procession. As we processed with the Blessed Sacrament, we publicly proclaimed our belief in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist and invited Him to bless our parish, our families, and our community.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this beautiful expression of faith possible. May we continue to draw closer to Christ in the Eucharist and carry His presence into our daily lives.

Join us on Friday, June 12 at 5:30 p.m. for a special Eucharistic Holy Hour in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

We will gather for one hour of prayer including Exposition and Benediction, Confessions, the Litany of the Sacred Heart, the Act of Reparation, Sacred Heart devotions, and the consecration of both Church of the Holy Spirit and St. John the Baptist Catholic School to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
