Our Best Girl Ever was celebrated for her 90th Birthday! All of The Mastin children and family came to visit. Brother Jason and Brenda from Yukon, Oklahoma came and ministered. We had Kenny and Sharon from Rome, Georgia and Chuck and Wendy from Huntsville, Alabama. As more photos become available I will add to the post. Please also see the other post I’m posting today, a video of well wishes from the Yukon Church and from Elko, Nevada.

Things to note:
All of the teapots used for the decor was from Ms Eloise’s teapot collection. Special thanks to Cat and Richard for all of the beautiful live florals and all that they do for UCA. Brewer Grocery did the catering. And thank you to Phillip Hall and his company for all of the new interior paint. Beautiful and professional work. Also, I can’t forget Chandler for all of the decor and balloon arch. And all of the Believers from UCA for all of their hard work that made the day so beautiful. And for wearing Pink!

God Bless America! This weekend as we remember! We have so very much to be thankful for.

It’s a constant battle to not let our minds and our spirits dwell on all of the negative things that seems to be constantly bombarding us.

This scripture often comes to mind

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."

In God there is true liberty!

And I am so thankful for the men and women that laid down their lives so we can be free.

Mother’s Day at UCA was such a joyful occasion. Following a service of worship and The Word! It was time to fellowship.

Thank you to Penny and Betty for all of the photos. Thank you to Taylor for overseeing the preparation of the chicken and the salmon. Both were cooked perfectly and devoured. Thank you to Chandler for all of the decor, shopping and organizing. Thank you to Brother Andy for menu ideas. Thank you to Ashli, Christa, Aliza and Larkin for stepping in and assisting with the final touches. Thank you to Chuck, Greg, Ray, Mike and Al for all the clean up. Thank you Elaine for always being at the right place at the right time. I really hope I didn’t forget anyone. It blessed my heart so much to see so many working together with such joy! Thank you also to all of the food providers.

Thank you to Hazel, Henry, and Zoey for being such awesome greeters and presenting all of the women with their Mother’s Day happies. The youth also worked hard on a Mother’s Day presentation. (Video clip will be posted separately).

The ladies were also treated to a flower bar where they could select flowers to build their own bouquet to take home with them. Special thanks to Cat who also told us insider tips on how to care for the flowers once we got home

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate our Heavenly Father and with one another

Acts 2:42 (KJV) describes the early church's commitment: "And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers". It highlights their devotion to learning, community, communion, and prayer, highlighting a model of unity and spiritual focus.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of to all of you! Bringing the joy of The Lord and celebrating Mothers today!

Before I could even enter Church I was greeted by the most breathtaking sight that lifted everyone's spirits. Everyone noticed and were commenting in awe. Cathy, the door decor is absolutely stunning. Y’all were deeply missed this weekend, but your love was palpably felt by all. Brother Bassam delivered a powerful message this morning and the worship team was incredibly uplifting. Hope everyone else had a profoundly blessed Sunday too. We certainly did.

Wednesday nights at UCA are truly unforgettable. Service starts at 7, and after the opening prayer, we were blessed with five inspiring speakers. Each one shared a powerful message that resonated deeply. I'd like to share one that particularly stood out to me. Teresa's teaching on the subject of offense was enlightening. She revealed that the Greek translation defines it as 'bait,' a tool the devil uses to hinder our Christian walk. Her base scripture, Matthew 18:7, reminds us that offenses will inevitably come, but we have the power to choose not to take the bait. Teresa's creative approach, using a fishing pole with different types of offenses on the line, drove the message home and left a lasting impact on me. It's a potent reminder that we don't have to let the devil's tactics throw us off our path. We can rise above and continue our journey with faith and resilience.

And if you are thinking, “church must have lasted forever”. Wrong! I was back in my house by 8:30.
