A team from Global Bible Translators has traveled to Nakuru, Kenya, East Africa to celebrate the completion of the new "Grace of God" translation of the Swahili Bible, based on the King James Version and the Greek Received Text. The celebration will be held at Grace Bible Baptist Church on August 23. A Bible conference will be held August 17-21 at the church. Ministry began on August 16. The Global Bible Translators team consists of Dr. Steve Zeinner, Dr. Jim Taylor, Dave Mowery, Terrence McGovern, Chad Springer and the hosts are Missionary Robert Mickey and Pastor Oloo.

Connie and I had lunch with the Mickey’s yesterday. They are veteran missionaries to the country of Kenya and have done an outstanding job. Brother Mickey is holding up the new bilingual Swahili/English New Testament just printed and being shipped to Kenya soon. We are having a dedication of this new translation on Sunday, 23rd of August in Nakuru, Kenya. The week prior my team of Bearing Precious Seed Global/Global Bible Translators will be teaching in their Bible college. We are excited to do so  Missionary Jim Taylor of South Korea, Pastor Terry McGovern of Anchorage, Alaska, Pastor Chad Springer of Council Bluffs, Iowa, missionary Dave Mowery, and myself will be doing the teaching.
Since the container will not arrive in time for the dedication, we are carrying enough bibles to give out to those that attend the dedication. I so look forward to sending pictures and updates of the week activities while in Kenya. Please pray for all of us as we travel from different parts of the world gathering in this one place
