Join us this morning at 10 AM for Sunday school or 11 AM for morning worship either at church or via FB Live! Bro. Mike will be bringing the message, “The Wonder of Our Salvation”, out of 1 Peter 1:10-12!

As we gather at Ahava Baptist Church today we will thank God for not just our Father's but for all of our Godly men. In 1 Peter 1:10-12 we will find that we are called to rejoice, adore, and thank God for the wonder of so great a salvation. This should lead us to a sense of joy even in the midst of trials and tribulations. And Peter does this not by looking through the eyes of salvation's recipients but through the eyes of four groups. Today at Ahava Baptist Church we will look at 1 Peter 1:6-9 and be reminded that salvation brings joy. How? I am glad you asked. Joy is grounded in God's sovereign grace, not circumstances; trials are ordained for the believer's good and God's glory; faith and love for Christ are Spirit-given and not self-generated; salvation is certain because God preserves His elect; the believer's joy is inexpressible because it is rooted in the eternal unchanging purposes of God.
