In 2025 we were blessed to hold the Ps. 91 Community Support Group and Community Bible Study the first Saturday of each month.

Beginning January 3, 2026 we will no longer hold the Community Bible Study.

We will continue to hold the Caregiver Support Group from 10:00-12:00 in the Social Hall. Light breakfast items will be provided.

Caregiver Support Group is a place where you are seen, supported, and strengthened in every area of your life. This group is rooted in the love found in the life of Jesus, where everyone is welcome.

Through spiritual support, we study God’s Word with you as the caregiver in mind and surround one another with prayer and encouragement.

You’ll find emotional support as you connect with others who truly “get it,” sharing openly in a judgment-free space marked by compassion and understanding.

We also offer physical support by helping you learn practical coping skills to manage stress, fatigue, and the demands of daily caregiving.

Finally, our group provides practical support, equipping you with information about helpful health, financial, and social resources so you don’t have to walk this journey alone.

No registration required. Join us the first Saturday of each month from 10a-12p at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in the Social Hall. Light breakfast items provided.

Join us on Sunday, July 27 at 10:30 am for Homecoming! We will be celebrating and praising God for 118 years of service Gulf State Quartet will be performing. Rev. Fella Stewart will deliver a short message then we will gather for fellowship and food in the Social Hall.

If you are a caregiver of anyone with a disability or chronic illness please join us for fellowship and support from 10-12 on Saturday, June 7. We do not have dependent care at this time.
We have lunch from 12-1 (thank you Debbie Randy Tickel) followed by Bible Study open to adults and high school youth from 1-3.

Cheryl Hickman is the Founder and Executive
Director of Hope for Her Florida, a life-
changing ministry dedicated to
supporting women in crisis. She has
been married to Robert Hickman for
13 years, and together they have
raised three grown sons.

Cheryl’s passion for serving women
stems from her own powerful journey.
As a single mother, she faced the
struggles of addiction, job loss, and
domestic violence. When she hit rock
bottom, she surrendered her life to the Lord,
experiencing profound healing through God’s
love and the support of a compassionate community.

Determined to help other women find the same hope and transformation, Cheryl earned her Master’s degree in Human Services, with her thesis laying the foundation for Hope for Her. In 2003, she opened its doors as a safe haven where women could seek support without fear of judgment or condemnation.

Since its inception, Hope for Her has served over 75,000 women and children in Hillsborough County. Today, through the dedication of staff, volunteers, and community partners, the ministry continues to make a profound impact, assisting nearly 9,000 individuals each year. Cheryl remains committed to empowering women, helping them break free from crisis, and guiding them toward lasting stability and hope.
