George Hatmaker, George Banning, Jade JD Fulford, Ana Hatmaker. Bailey Family-Foundation, Cork Methodist Church, all our friends to take a look at what we are doing in Plant City, Florida. Our Church, Cork Methodist Church, with the help of Bailey Family Foundation, opened Cork Community Food Distribution in February 2021. Our vision was to be feeding at least 50 families a week by the end of the year, however, by the end of the year we were feeding more than 150 families each and every week. Now here we are in April 2022 and we are feeding over 200 families per week. In fact, Wednesday, April 20, 2022, we gave 205 families food for a week. If you take an average of 4 people per family, that is over 3,200 meals every month. We pay an average of $1,000 a month for the food we receive, and the demand is growing as the economy is worsening, and $900.00 a month for boxes. Then when you count trash pickup, gas to transport the food, what we spend far out weights what few donations we get in. So, we are asking all our friends on FB to consider, giving any amount you can to help us continue providing food for those in need. Times are hard I know, but I believe everyone can afford $10, $15, or even $25.00. Any amount would help a family in need. My wife, I, and those who volunteer would appreciate your help. We have 20 volunteers weekly who work hard to feed this many people. Please help if you can and God will surely bless you for your giving. We do have our 501(c)3, and Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has issued us our Charitable Organization certificate, so you will receive tax credit for your donation. Go to corkcommunityfooddistribution.org, hit the “donate” button, and please share this with your friends so they can see what we do here. Also go to our page at Cork Community Food Distribution and like us. You will get a response from me right away. God Bless.
Thank you very much. George Hatmaker, CEO, Cork Community Food Distribution.
