In the New Testament, the Greek word Pneuma means spirit, breath, and wind. In Acts 2, a mighty rushing wind filled the upper room and the Spirit of God was poured out. And again in Acts 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 15, and 19, we see the Spirit filling ordinary people. What was rare and extraordinary in the Old Testament becomes available to everyone in the New. We believe the gift of God’s Spirit is for every person, and that the Holy Spirit still fills, empowers, comforts, speaks, and moves. Our homes, our gatherings, and our services will be shaped to create space for people to experience the Holy Spirit for themselves. The same mighty rushing wind that moved in the 1st century can move in Plano in the 21st.
