We have a choice of how we live our lives – one that is worthy of being imitated and Christ-like and one that is focused on oneself, which leads to division and pain. Both men show us that it is so important how we live our lives. Are our lives worthy of being imitated?

We are to hold our disagreements with the proportionate amount of emotion they deserve, holding truth with love in the midst of disputes. We don't treat a broken neck the same way we treat a broken thumb.

How should we approach conversations about essential and non-essential theology?

The good news of the gospel is that God’s love for you is not based on your performance.

He does not love you more when you succeed, nor does He love you less when you fail. Just as Jesus met Peter in the midst of his denial, He meets us in our deepest failures, regrets, and shame.

Whatever "charcoal fire" moment you carry—the sin, the secret, the broken relationship, the unforgiveness—Jesus sees it all and still offers His love and grace. Not because you've earned it, but because He freely gives it.

The risen Christ knows the worst about you and loves you still. ❤️

What are you turning to for happiness, security, or peace?

In the closing words of 1 John, we’re challenged to guard ourselves from idols, even the subtle ones disguised as good things. From “custom-made” versions of Jesus to hidden sin and isolated spirituality, anything we run to instead of Christ will never truly satisfy.

This sermon is a powerful reminder to cling to Jesus alone for our blessed assurance and to protect our hearts from anything pulling us away from Him.

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate the gift of new life through birth, adoption, and baptism. We’re grateful to hear stories of God’s faithfulness in the lives of both children and adults and to rejoice together as a church family. We can’t wait to worship and celebrate with you!

Christian, take heart today: your judgment day has already happened in Christ. There is no condemnation left for you. Jesus has paid it all.

You don’t come to God with your own righteousness, your accomplishments, or your self-sufficiency. The only thing we bring is our need. And when we come empty-handed, Christ fills us with the unearned, unending riches of His grace and mercy.

You are forgiven. You are loved. You are fully accepted because of Jesus.

“Jesus paid it all.” Praise God.

What a gift it is to do life together!🤟🏼 Happy Sunday!!
