SUNDAY SCHOOL THIS WEEK:

Unit 1: Connected Faith Focus: God shows us compassion
Bible Story: Joseph Saves the Day—Genesis 41:1-57

Family Follow-up: Family Food Helpers
As a family, choose a food-related job like sorting snacks, packing lunches, setting the table, or unpacking groceries. While you work together, talk about how Joseph helped organize foods so that everyone had enough. Let everyone help with this small “food job,” and remind each other that helping others is an important part of God’s plan.

🎉 What a JOYFUL first Family Ministry Night! 🎉

We had such a wonderful evening together! Our families shared a meal, celebrated birthdays, and most importantly, served together. 💕🎂

Together, we made 100 birthday favor bags and 64 birthday cards for children celebrating birthdays through The Birthday Party Project in Dallas! We are so grateful for every family who helped spread a little extra joy and remind these children that they are loved, valued, and worth celebrating. 💗

We can’t wait for our next Family Ministry Night!

🎃 SAVE THE DATE: October 7 🎃
Family Ministry Night is headed to the Pumpkin Patch! 🍂

More details and registration information will be available soon. We hope you’ll join us for another fun night of family, fellowship, and service!

THIS WEEK IN CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

We have been having SO much fun in Children’s Ministries! We had a blast at our Camp Out Kids’ Night Out, and Children’s Church has been full of fun, laughter, and learning!

And now, we are getting ready for something brand new! This Wednesday, September 16th, is our very first Family Ministry Night! 🎉 We are so excited to bring families together for an evening of food, fellowship, fun, and service. We’ll share dinner together, enjoy cupcakes as we celebrate all of our birthdays, and then work together on a special service project. We’ll be putting together birthday goodie bags for The Birthday Party Project in Dallas, helping make sure children experiencing homelessness get to celebrate their birthdays, too!

I can’t wait to see this new ministry come to life and watch our families build connections, share joy, and serve together. It’s not too late to sign up! We’d love to have you join us for our first Family Ministry Night! https://cumcplano.shelbynextchms.com/external/form/3cea7392-82d8-4fb6-938d-634169131070

SUNDAY SCHOOL THIS WEEK:

Unit 1: Connected Faith Focus: God shows us compassion
Bible Story: Joseph in Egypt—Genesis 39:1–40:23

Family Follow-up: Putting the Pieces Together
Talk about how Joseph’s life had lots of mixed-up moments, but God still made something good out of it. It’s like a bunch of puzzle pieces that God was putting together just right. Sit together and let each person share one “puzzle piece” from their own life, something that felt confusing and hard. Then share how God helped them through it. This reminds us that God is putting the pieces of our lives together just as he did for Joseph.
