There are moments when following Jesus means leaving something behind.

Jesus’ words in Luke 9:60 are challenging: “Leave the dead to bury their own dead. But as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.”

The call is urgent. The mission matters. And when Jesus says go, we don’t let anything keep us from following Him.

Jesus said, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.” — Luke 9:62

You can’t plow a straight line while looking behind you.

The same is true of following Jesus.

Stop letting what’s behind you distract you from where He’s leading you.

International Service Day at Willow Bend!

This Sunday, September 6 at 10:30 AM, we’re excited to worship together with Casa de Dios Dallas and Trinity Chinese Church for a special Multilingual Service!

Three churches. Multiple languages. One purpose, making Jesus known.

Stick around after the service! We’ll continue the fellowship with a potluck lunch. We’d love for everyone to bring a dish, side, dessert, or something to share.

The Bible isn’t simply a collection of good advice or ancient stories. It is the living Word of God, given to teach us, correct us, challenge us, and shape us into who He has called us to be.

We don’t come to Scripture looking only for what makes us comfortable. We come ready to hear from God and allow His Word to change us.
