East Plano Islamic Center EPIC is a non-profit tax-exempt organization (with Tax-ID: 20-0629612) registered with the Internal Revenue Service

EPIC is a multi-ethnic, multi-racial, multi-lingual, non-sectarian, diverse, and open community committed to full and equal participation and involvement of men and women who are community members of EPIC and subscribe to accept its rules, regulations, and procedures. EPIC is committed to civic and civil engagement with communities of other faiths and society at large. EPIC has two full time Imams

as well as access to other scholars that provide religious, educational, and Islamic counseling services to the community. Following are some services and activities that EPIC offers:

Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatuillah

The Day of Arafah is this Tuesday ( May 26 ) In shà Allah .
This is the day Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam said:

1. " There is no day when Allah sets free more servants from Hell than the Day of 'Arafa. " Muslim

2. "Fast the Day of Arafah, for indeed I anticipate that Allah will forgive (the sins) of the year after it, and the year before it ." Tirmidhi

Below is a Suggested program for the day of Arafah
1. Sleep early Monday night so you can get up for Qiyam .

2. Wake up at least one hour before Fajr and pray few Rakaas slowly and with a lot of Duaa in sujood .

3. Have your Suhoor ( remember you are fasting today ) and leave two minutes before Fajr for making Istighfar

4. Brothers start going to the masjid and all the way to masjid , keep the tongue busy with remembrance of Allah .

5.During the day , all day make a lot of duaa ( please don't forget Muslims all over ) specially La ilah ill` Allah,
wahdahu la sharika lahu
Lahul mulk wa lahul hamd,
wahua `ala kulli shayin qadeer'
*This is the best duaa in the day of Arafa*

6.Read Quran while pondering on each verse .

7.Before Maghreb , is one of the best time for duaa to be answered ... Ask Allah to purify your heart from all diseases and to save your neck from the hellfire .

Note :
A. Remind the imam of your masjid ( if he forgets ) of the takbeer after every Fard salat starting from the Fajr of Arafah
B . There are no authentic ahadeeth about anything specific to be done in Eid night ( just do what you usually do )
