This is Canterbury Cathedral, where Thomas Becket (the Archbishop of Canterbury) was martyred.

As a result of his sacrifice and faithfulness, the cathedral became a place of pilgrimage—where people prayed and sought healing. It is still a special location in the story of Christianity today.

God blesses us to be a blessing to the world. It never stops with us; the blessing continues far beyond us.

In the fourth week of The Gospel According to Joseph, Bishop Paul teaches how Joseph resisted temptation at a great personal cost. Yet Joseph is not the hero of the story—God is. When our own strength fails, God remains with us, giving grace in our hardest moments of temptation. Joseph does what is good not by grit, but by grace. His story points ultimately to Jesus, the one greater than Joseph who helps us to live from the reality of our baptism more and more.

✝️ The story of Aidan...

Aidan was a 7th century Celtic monk who secured the gospel in Nothumbria. At this time, Christian belief and practice was diminishing because of paganism in the region.

When the crown prince Oswald came to reclaim his throne, he eventually sent for Aidan to tell those in his kingdom about Jesus. Aidan did just that.

Oswald and Aidan would often work together—Aidan sharing the gospel and Oswald translating for the locals. Aidan also established Lindisfarne Priory, a place where monks would be trained and sent out to evangelize the nation.

Aidan: Ordinary saint, extraordinary life.

May his story remind you that God is still in the business of empowering ordinary people like Aidan, and like you, as saints today.
