Grief is such a raw and difficult emotion. Sometimes we do not know what to do with it, how to carry it, or why the loss of someone we love can still ache so deeply years later.
Rabbi Kushnick reminds us that the depth of our grief is connected to the depth of our love. We miss those parents, spouses, siblings, grandparents, children, and loved ones because they brought so much joy, comfort, wisdom, and presence into our lives. The pain of loss exists because the love was real.
And while grief never fully disappears, neither does the love. The people we miss continue to shape us through the memories they gave us, the lessons they taught us, and the ways they changed our lives forever.
This reflection is a reminder that even in loss, love remains. And that love is always worth holding onto.
