If then, it is “Christian marriage” that we desire—to love our spouses in a way that mirrors the gospel— we must understand that the power to do so does not come from within ourselves. It comes only and always from Christ. We CAN love in serving, sacrificing, forgiving ways, because…that is how Christ loves us.

Husbands,
We love and need you all. We're praying for you and need your prayers as well. Ask The Lord and He WILL answer you.

Father, please give me, ______, the strength to stand firm as the head of my household. I pray to become the leader and priest that You have called me to be within my family. I submit my shame, guilt, and feelings of inadequacies to You. Help me to accept Your offer of grace, mercy, and lovingkindness towards me.

Lord, please transform my heart and mind. Fill me with a deep hunger for Your Word and a desire to seek Your guidance in all that I do. Grant me the wisdom, patience, and discernment as I teach and model godly principles to my wife, ______, and our children.

Connect with other likeminded Kingdom couples over laughs, lattes and desserts! This evening of fun and relaxation is inclusive to ALL. Singles feel free to join as well! Many of our married couples have much wisdom to impart in to those who desire marriage.

Registration now open until November 25th, or once we reach capacity (whichever comes first)

Gen 2:24- One Flesh…. Selfish thinking in marriage is liken unto a debilitating disease that is continuing to infiltrate godly marriages.

What causes selfishness in marriage one might ask? Good questions.. Take a look at a few examples below and examine yourselves.

2 Corinthians 13:5- 5 Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!

1. Failure to remember the sacrifice at Calvary.
2. TV/ Entertainment
3. Friends
4. Glorification the single life
5. Lack of pray
6. Looking over the fence at grass believed to be greener. (It’s turf)
7. Comparing your relations to others
8. Your word choice towards your sponsor ( Power of life and death )

Cure:
1.Repent of your sin and be forgiven.
2.Prayer
3. Fellowship with godly couples
4. Godly entertainment that promotes a healthy marriage.
5. Value your spouse and see them as a child of God just like you are. Get connected with NDCBF Marriage Ministry and experience what the Lord is doing in the lives of many.
