Custer Road Students

Custer Road Students We are the Student Ministry at Custer Road United Methodist Church in Plano, TX. We believe that we are called to create whole people in the image of Christ.

Our church's mission statement is "Helping People Know the Love of Jesus" and as students we believe that we take part in this by "Responding to God's Call to Love." The student ministry at Custer Road is a vibrant and growing program for students in grades 6th-12th. We seek to connect students with God in meaningful ways that will equip them to be a lifelong follower of Jesus. We have implemented

a holistic youth ministry philosophy and structure the programs and events around the 4 guiding principles of holistic ministry: worship, learning, community, and service. While each of the parts are important, the sum of these parts working together will create a dynamic and transformative individual that is a witness to the love, grace, and power of Jesus Christ. All youth are welcome to join us on their spiritual journeys as we figure out how life and faith intersect in ways that are complicated, invigorating, difficult, and fun!

On the road again this morning! We will give an eta back to the church when we are closer. Students will get their phones about an hour away from the church. We are ready to see all of you!

Crossville mission vans made it to our stop tonight! In the morning, we will make our final stretch home to Plano!

Custer Road parents, we made it to our stop for the night at about 7:45pm. We ate dinner, spent time with family groups, and are all in bed! Back on the road tomorrow!

Hi Crossville Families! We are SO excited to see you next week! Camp CRUMY will be Monday, July 13 - Thursday, July 16. We will be bringing by flyers and registration forms to different neighborhoods on Sunday, July 12. You also can fill out a form on Monday morning, or bring one filled out with you! Can't wait to spend an incredible week together!

Day 2 of work is done! The students have been working so hard and have been loving it too! We’ve played a lot of nine square, sang a lot of worship songs, and made so many new friends! Pray for our students as they have two more days of serving people in San Antonio!
