Boarding students at Ebenezer Christian School were sleeping in their classrooms because there was nowhere else to go. Without proper dorms, the school's boarding section was at risk of closing.

But look at it now! The new two-story dormitory is nearly finished. The foundation and floors are built, and interior finishing is underway. District leaders are already calling Ebenezer an educational lighthouse for the area.

When it's done, 80 students will have safe, permanent housing, and classrooms go back to being classrooms.

They now have a home of their own. 🏠

For years, the 40+ children of House of Hope in Kabale lived in a rented house with increasingly restrictive landlord rules and a mile-long walk to school every day.

Today they live in a permanent home less than five minutes from their classrooms at Ebenezer Christian School.

A house isn't just walls and a roof. It's a foundation the next generation gets to grow up on. Thank you for helping build it. 💚💙

It’s a joy to welcome Amelene McKay to the Engage Hope Board of Directors! Amelene combines years of proven leadership with a deep love for serving others, and we’re grateful for all she’ll bring to our ministry.

Amelene is an accomplished operations and engineering leader with more than 25 years of experience at major aerospace and defense companies, including Raytheon and Northrop Grumman. A Six Sigma expert with an MBA, she has led engineering divisions, guided large-scale capital strategies, and built teams known for excellence and continuous improvement. Just as important, she is known for investing in people, coaching those she leads to grow in their careers while championing employee engagement and service in the community.

Outside of work, Amelene serves her local church in Guest Services and as an ordained Stephen Minister, walking alongside people through life’s hardest seasons. Her gift for building strong systems and caring for others will be a tremendous blessing for Engage Hope. We can’t wait to see how God uses her here!

🎓 Another Big Win to the Glory of God! 🙌🏽

Today, Kisakye Daniel graduated with a Diploma in Information Technology from Ndejje University, and it was a joy to hear about the legacy he has built during his time at the university.

From the very beginning, Daniel has demonstrated remarkable leadership and a heart for service. In his first year, he served as an adviser to the University Guild President. In his second year, he served on the Guild Council as the person in charge of security and also on the Genda Committee.

Beyond academics and leadership, Daniel has been using his IT skills to serve the Lord in his local church as part of the media team. He also recently worked in the IT department of one of the largest hospitals, Mengo Hospital, where he and his colleagues developed a system aimed at improving efficiency and customer satisfaction.

As if that were not enough, Daniel recently interviewed with African Hearts Community Organisation, hoping to join our team and strengthen our IT department. What a joy it is to witness the growth, potential, and impact of a young person whose journey we have been privileged to be part of!

This is the fruit of transformation, and we give God all the glory! ❤️

Today we celebrate a nation full of resilience, faith, and hope, and the people who call it home. Uganda’s motto is “For God and My Country,” and we see it lived out every day by our Ministry Partners.
