A Peace Agreement—or a Prophetic Pause?

The United States and Iran have announced a preliminary agreement intended to end the recent war.

We pray that the fighting stops and innocent lives are spared. But as Watchmen on the Wall, we must remain spiritually alert.

Iran may have been weakened militarily—but weakness does not automatically produce repentance.

A ceasefire may stop missiles for a season, but it does not necessarily change the ideology or ambitions of a regime that has repeatedly threatened Israel.

A signed agreement cannot transform a heart.

And major questions involving Iran’s nuclear program, ballistic missiles, enriched uranium, and support for terrorist proxies still remain unresolved.

Scripture identifies **Persia—modern Iran—as part of a future coalition that will come against Israel**:

"Persia…is with them.” — Ezekiel 38:5

We must never force every headline into Bible prophecy. But neither should we ignore the prophetic significance of what is unfolding before us.

The nations may negotiate.

Wars may pause.

Leaders may sign agreements.

But God already knows the end from the beginning.

When the nations rage against the Lord, His Anointed, and His covenant purposes, Scripture reminds us:

"He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall hold them in derision.” — Psalm 2:4

God is not intimidated by Iran.

He is not threatened by terrorist armies.

And He has not abandoned Israel.

“He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.”
— Psalm 121:4

Now is not the time for the Church to become silent again—as so much of it was during the Holocaust and after October 7.

Now is the time to pray, speak, stand, bless, and take our rightful place in history.

🕊️ WHY DO SO MANY BELIEVERS MISS THE BLESSING OF THE SABBATH?

In a world filled with noise, deadlines, stress, and endless distractions, God offers something many believers overlook:

A holy pause.

Not because He needs it.

Because we do.

From the very beginning, God established a rhythm for life.

📖 "Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it..." — Genesis 2:3

Notice what Scripture says.

God didn't bless every day equally.

He blessed and set apart one specific day.

The Sabbath was never created as a burden.

It was created as a gift.

A day to stop striving.
A day to reconnect with God.
A day to remember who is truly in control.

Yet many believers miss this blessing because they see the Sabbath as an outdated obligation rather than a divine invitation.

But throughout Scripture, the Sabbath is described as:

✨ A delight (Isaiah 58:13-14)
✨ A sign between God and His people (Exodus 31:13)
✨ A day of blessing and refreshment
✨ A reminder that God is our Provider

When we honor what God calls holy, our hearts begin to realign with Him.

The Sabbath reminds us that our worth is not found in what we accomplish—but in whose we are.

At Why Stand With Israel, one of our passions is helping believers rediscover the biblical foundations of their faith and reconnect with the God of Israel through His Word, His appointed times, and His redemptive plan.

Perhaps the greatest question isn't:

"Do I have time for the Sabbath?"

But rather:

"Am I missing a blessing God created for me?"

📖 WHY IS ISRAEL A DISCONNECT FOR SO MANY CHRISTIANS?

It's a question worth asking.

How can the nation mentioned more than 2,400 times in Scripture be so overlooked by so much of the Church?

How can believers love Jesus, yet know so little about the land where He was born, ministered, died, rose again, and where He will one day return?

After all...

🇮🇱 Israel is the only nation God calls "My Land."
📖 Israel is the nation through whom God revealed His Word.
✡️ Israel is the nation through whom Messiah came.
👑 Israel is where Yeshua will return to establish His Kingdom.

Not New York.
Not Rome.
Not London.

Jerusalem.

Yet many believers have never been taught why Israel matters in God's redemptive story.

Some have inherited misinformation.
Others have never heard a biblical teaching on God's covenants with Israel.
Many simply do not realize how deeply Israel is woven throughout the pages of Scripture.

But when we understand God's heart for Israel, we discover something beautiful:

✨ A God who keeps His promises.
✨ A God whose covenants are everlasting.
✨ A God whose redemption plan includes both Jew and Gentile.

📖 Who Is Telling You the Truth About Israel?

Never before have believers had access to so much information.

And yet, perhaps never before have there been so many competing voices telling us what to believe about Israel.

Every day we hear:

❓ "Biblical Israel and modern Israel are different."
❓ "God is finished with Israel."
❓ "The Church replaced Israel."
❓ "Christian Zionism isn't biblical."
❓ "Israel has no special role in God's plan."

But here's the question every believer should ask:

📖 Does it line up with Scripture?

Yeshua warned us repeatedly:

"Take heed that no one deceives you." — Matthew 24:4

In this prophetic hour, believers must be careful not to build their worldview on headlines, influencers, politicians, or social media narratives.

Our foundation must be God's Word.

As hostility toward Israel rises around the world, many are beginning to wonder:

📖 Could we be witnessing the early stages of Zechariah 12:2-3, when Jerusalem becomes a burden to the nations?

Whether through political pressure, media bias, misinformation, or outright antisemitism, the nations seem increasingly focused on the one city and nation God calls His own.

This is why discernment matters.

📖 **Israel: God's Inheritance, God's Covenant, God's Story**

Throughout Scripture, God repeatedly refers to Israel as His Land.

Not because of borders drawn by men.

Not because of politics.

But because He chose it.

📖 "The Land is Mine..." — Leviticus 25:23

Before nations existed...
Before empires rose...
God spoke its boundaries.

He tied His covenant to it.

Forever.

From Abraham's first steps...
To David's throne...
From exile to return...

This Land has carried the weight of history and the hope of redemption.

Kings have ruled here.
Empires have passed through.
Armies have come and gone.

Yet the Land remains.

Why?

Because this is not merely real estate.

🌿 This is inheritance.

It is the Land where:
📖 God revealed His Name
📖 The prophets proclaimed His Word
📖 Messiah walked, suffered, died, and rose again
📖 And where He will one day return

But God did not choose Israel for privilege alone.

He chose her for purpose.

📖 *"I will also give You as a Light to the Nations..."* — Isaiah 49:6

Israel was called to reveal the knowledge of the one true God to the world and ultimately bring forth the Messiah through whom salvation would reach every nation.

That story is still unfolding today.
