A lot of people use the word "repent." But what is repentance? What is BIBLICAL repentance?

THE CHURCH'S MESSAGE IS FORGIVENESS IN CHRIST

We are living in tumultuous times on earth. What should the church's message be? Jesus gives us our message and mission in the last chapter of Luke: "preaching of repentance for the forgiveness of sins in his name."

So that is what we will do. We will proclaim Jesus as Savior, calling people to repentance because Jesus forgives.

Is the gospel still relevant? Is it still effective at reaching people? If we let the world define relevance and let human beings define effectiveness, then maybe the church needs to redefine the gospel.

But if God is the one who defines relevance and effectiveness, then the gospel remains as relevant and effective as ever.
