Regarding our newly assigned Bishop of the 8th Episcopal District, Bishop Denise Anders-Modest's father, Mr. Otha Anders.

Dear CME Family,

It is with deep sadness to inform you of the transition of Mr. Otha Anders, the beloved father of Presiding Bishop Denise Anders-Modest of the Eighth Episcopal District and Chair of the College of Bishops, and devoted husband of Mrs. Maxine Anders. Mr. Anders passed away this morning in Ruston, Louisiana. More details will follow.

Please keep Bishop Anders-Modest, her mother Mrs. Maxine Anders, and the entire family in your thoughts and prayers.
