Graduation Day-2026-Abby Moon
Wow, it is hard to believe we have reached the last one!! God has blessed me with four days like these honoring 5 kids! (Twins combined one year!) Just when I thought these moments were over, I met Phyllis and started all over again! God knew what I needed and what they needed! We are blessed beyond belief.
Today, our youngest, Abby Moon, will end her days in high school and begin the next phase of her life at West Georgia University! It is always a bittersweet moment. A time to celebrate the accomplishments while also being sad that this phase has come to an end. A time to send off our sweet girl and be proud of every moment to come, while also being sad that the house will be emptier very soon! Beginnings and endings are always the most difficult. We usually go along in the middle without really thinking about it, but then those beginnings and endings sneak up on us and we are forced to focus on one moment in time. It is a fleeting moment so we should revel in it and enjoy it to the fullest!
Abby has done an incredible job! All the school
Awards, scholarships, high Honor Graduate and all the hard work that made it possible. All the accomplishments in 4H topping off all the amazing years with a National
Championship in LifeSmarts Competition! But more than that, she has been a cheerleader for all of those around her. She never reached great accomplishments in Cross Country or Track on the field, but she put her heart in it every day! She finished her races and then cheered on others. She was always the biggest cheerleader on the Cross Country and Track team for all 4 years! While doing all of that, she has worked a job, volunteered hundreds of hours and generally enjoyed every moment. What more can anyone ask for in a life or in a child.
Lastly, she has been our family cheerleader! She has always cheered on the boys in everything they do even when she drove them crazy! She has always been there to help Phyllis and I when we needed any errands run!! That one we will really miss! She has always cheered on the dogs and given them more love than imaginable. When I was in the hospital and Phyllis had to stay with me, she took care of everything even though she would have rather stayed with me too! I always knew she was cheering me on to get well!
All 5 of my children have blessed me beyond measure. Through good times and bad they are always my children and my greatest gift from God! No matter where they go or what hardships come, I pray they always know how much I love them!! I am so proud of Abby and can't wait to see her amazing future as she follows somewhat in my footsteps as an elementary teacher! I believe any students who have her as a teacher will be blessed with one of the most caring, understanding and loving humans I have ever met. I thank God he brought her to me and gave me the chance to be part of her life! She is going to do amazing things!
So on this ending, we will be a little sad and may shed a few tears, but the cushion of the new beginnings will ease that sadness and bring new joy with each day before the next ending! We will cherish all of those moments in between! May God bless her every day and lead her to the path He has for her to Make a Huge Difference in this World!
Happy Graduation Day Abby! You deserve all the best and we all love you more than you can imagine!
Terry, Momma, Eli, Seth, Mari, Cosmo, Beast and everyone else that you have touched in this life with your kindness, love and joy! You have blessed us and we hope those same blessings come to you!
