Many thanks to the Main Street Foundation for supporting our C.C.P. Presents… Music & Creative Arts program. Thanks to this wonderful grant we are able to provide a fun music & art program for the community to enjoy year round.

For 20 years, the Plainville Community Fund at MSCF has helped to improve the lives of Plainville residents through grants to local nonprofit organizations, and this year is no exception.

Main Street Community Foundation recently awarded nine grants totaling $14,114 to nine organizations making a difference for Plainville residents. We were honored to recognize several of this year's grant recipients at a special ceremony held last night at Plainville Funeral Home.

Grants were awarded to:
• Chrysalis Center Inc.
• Pequabuck River Watershed Association
• Plainville Community Food Pantry
• Plainville Community Schools
• Plainville Early Learning Center
• Plainville Public Library
• Plainville Senior Center
• Plainville Wind Ensemble
• The Congregational Church of Plainville

The Plainville Community Fund was established as a community endowment at MSCF in 2006 by a group of community leaders in Plainville. This group came together with a simple goal: to enhance the quality of life for Plainville residents. Through this Fund, a permanent resource for charitable programs and projects that benefit the town was created. Since its establishment, $175,000 has been distributed to support local nonprofits and the programs they operate.

Let's Talk About this In Between Time.

There have been some questions coming my way about what we are going to do during this time of interim ministry. So let's get together and talk about any and all of your questions.

I will share some of my ideas about plans for the fall. And we will answer questions like: why don't we just get a settled minister right away? And how do we get ready to search for a settled minister? And how do we grow and attract lots of children and families? And why do we need to talk about our history?

Let's gather after worship on June 14th for time to hear from each other and for me to share some of the ideas I bring from my experiences with other churches.

See you June 14th after service!
Dr. Jay
