The following post is a message sent to us from Denny Smith at the Pregnancy Care Center:
This is Denny Smith with the Pregnancy Care center in Washington. I talked to Jerry last week regarding your church putting information on your page regarding helping us out with donations. Due to the Coronavirus we have had to put our Baby bottle boomerang and other fundraisers on hold. As a result our donations have gone down. In order to stay open to serve our clients we need more donations coming in. During this difficult time for many the Pregnancy Care Center of Washington maintains the responsibility to meet the needs of our clients. We feel very strongly that we need to remain open to be there for our clients and others who may require our assistance. We have had to reduce our hours, but we are still available to help those in need. We are taking all precautions necessary to ensure no one will be exposed to the virus. We are helping the community at this time with pregnancy tests, ultrasound, and limited material aid. We are still open to be a light in the darkness and hope for the hopeless. Please note that two of our most substantial fundraisers have been delayed. We had to postpone our annual Gift of Life banquet from April 16 until July 23, 2020 and have had to suspend our baby bottle boomerang with churches in the surrounding communities. As a result the funding/donations we have been receiving have been significantly reduced. At this time, we really don’t know if we will be able to hold our banquet in July, and we don’t know when we will be able to resume the baby bottle boomerang with churches. We want to be able to keep our doors open for our clients during this difficult time, and it is crucial that we have the funding to do so. We realize times are really tough right now with many being laid off and struggling to make ends meet. However, if you are in a position to donate to the Center, even if it is a small amount, your gift would be greatly appreciated. We still have clients coming in for pregnancy tests and ultrasounds that may be abortion vulnerable or abortion minded. Your donation could help us remain open to allow us to provide support to clients who may be making the biggest decision of their lives. We want to be available to help them make the choice for life for their unborn baby. This is the main purpose of our ministry, to save the lives of the unborn and to spare the mothers and fathers the heartache and regret of choosing abortion. Also during this trying time we are able to help those clients in need of diapers, wipes, baby food and formula, as some of these items are in short supply at the stores or they may be low on funds at this time due to layoffs. If you are unable to donate at this time, please keep our staff, volunteers, clients and unborn babies in your prayers.
