LEAD Family Devotional: Here's a fun rainy day activity perfect for the weather we're having here at New Beginnings! The lesson comes from 1Kings 18:41-46 when Elijah prays for rain, not once but seven times! When I teach this in the classroom I remind my students that Elijah knew what to pray because he found it in God's word, and so he also knew that God would answer. We can persevere in prayer when we're praying God's will, and we can know we're praying God's will when we're praying his word!

The kids could not get enough of this activity- I did modify it a little because I don't trust myself to be poking holes into bottle caps. So I replaced that with clear condiment bottles that I bought at our local dollar store. If you decide to do this activity at home please don't forget to post a picture- and keep persevering in prayer!

LEAD Family Devotional: Easter is only a few short weeks away! Here at LEAD Kids we love Easter because it's the story of Jesus, the story of redemption. Join us over the next several weeks and daily during Holy Week for fun crafts and activities that will remind all of us why we celebrate.

I love these salt dough ✝️
Although they're a simple craft (even I can make them) they take time and patience. I recommend dividing this craft into 3 days to symbolize the 3 days the 🌎 waited after Jesus died on the ✝️ Waiting is hard, but the reward is often worth the wait.

LEAD Family Devotional:
I just love butterflies! Butterflies remind me of the transformative power of God- that when we decide to follow him we're completely changed from the inside out- just like a butterfly!
A great way to demonstrate this is to hatch your own butterflies at home. We have done this a couple of times and it's been so much fun!
