Caprock Plains Baptist Association

Caprock Plains Baptist Association Assisting churches in fulfilling the Great Commission since 1892! This association helps churches in our area work together to serve their communities.

The Caprock Plains Baptist Association serves three newly-combined Baptist associations in the South Plains. Our Director of Missions, Associate Director of Missions and Ministry Assistant are here to help you and your church with numerous areas of ministry through education and communication. The Baptist churches of our area include the Caprock, Llanos Altos and the Staked Plains Baptist Associat

ions, numbering over 85 churches serving their communities from as far west as Farwell, as far east as Turkey, north to Tulia, and south to Amherst. We work with churches affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas, the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention, working together to reach the South Plains for Christ.

Dr. Timothy Pierce, the new Dean of Christian Studies at Wayland Baptist University, has been wonderfully becoming acquainted with the churches of our association. This past Sunday he preached the morning message at FBC Edmonson. Recently he preached at FBC Silverton. Dr. Pierce is already doing a great job at Wayland in reaching out to the communities across the South Plains.

Some of you probably know Jerry and Roma Haley, who have served in several churches and ministries in the past across our area. We lost this sweet couple in a tragic auto accident during the Christmas holiday. Please be in prayer for their family.

Roma was born in New Home, Texas on January 13th, 1938. She attended Cooper High School and graduated from Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas.
